What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Above all, we wanted players to enjoy the beauty of nature and the charms of the forest as early as possible! We also had an educational goal, so that players could learn through gameplay how important ecology is for our planet.
This was the goal that guided us from the very beginning. In addition, we try to be close to our community and listen to all opinions and suggestions as to what players as guardians expect from the gameplay. We believe that by combining them together with our vision for the game we will be able to achieve the best possible results.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to remain in early access until we decide that the game is complete. In the meantime, we will be releasing major content updates, as well as smaller updates that will focus on specific aspects of the game to improve quality, as our goal is to reach version 1.0. We will continue to listen to feedback from our community and work on improvements to the core of the game”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“First of all, we want to find out, together with the community, what features we should prioritize. We have many ideas for the finished game, however, we need a realistic view of the situation. It all comes down to what you, the players, ask us for and what you like about the game. Of course, we envision many general improvements like a realistic tourist AI system with NPC player interactions. A forest trail marking system or care and photography of the forest's flora and fauna. For us, the most important thing is the players and what they expect and would like to experience as a Forest Ranger.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Most of the main elements are ready. Like advanced waste collection and segregation. Task system for the forest ranger. Forest care elements such as crafting new items, feeding animals, producing honey, repairing damaged elements of the forest park. Store, auctioning items. We realize that there are still a lot of elements that will need tweaking and changes, but we want players to be able to decide what will be in the game and have a real impact on its development”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The official version will be more refined therefore its price may be slightly higher than in Early Access, but it will certainly offer many more mechanics and more complex functionalities from the EA version.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Your comments will be crucial in our efforts to make Forest Ranger the best forest ranger simulator - we want to hear from you about anything you think is important!
And most importantly - we want players to play for thousands of hours. What makes you unable to tear yourself away from the game? In EA in the main menu you have access to a form to send detailed feedback. Our discord: https://discord.gg/5hdS7xC6Wa is also fully open to you, so you will be able to talk directly with the developers!”

Forest Ranger always has his hands full. The number and variety of quests will not let anyone get bored. Some tasks you can complete without hurry, in others you will have to do a little jogging. Some will require the use of a car. We do not want to reveal too much. See for yourself.

What is crafting in Forest Ranger Simulator? It's creating useful things from literally whatever you can find. Sometimes you'll definitely feel like MacGyver.

In order to create something you first have to tear it down. Specifically, we need to acquire materials for building and crafting. To build a table we will need wood. In addition, in the forest we can find many other valuable things like mushrooms.

Forest Ranger Simulator is a game, however, we wanted to include as much valuable information from real life as possible in the game. Thanks to the notebook you will learn a lot about the work of a Forest Ranger, you will also find many interesting facts about forests, such as information about mushrooms. Learn by playing. The name simulator obliges.

Workbench. There's nothing like having everything at hand. Saw, pliers, hammer, paintbrush.... and many more tools ready to go. Why not build a bird feeder?

The profession of Forest Ranger is not a job from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Here you have to be on guard day and night. Remember that the night is dark, and the only light is the glow of the moon and your flashlight. Watching the sunset or the beauty of the moon.... priceless.

Forests, it's not just trees, leaves and animals, it's a ton of trash left by people. You will find more than 150 different trash here. Sometimes you will be surprised what you can find in the forest. Remember that everything has to be sorted. You have special trash garbage cans for this. Some skills as well as large garbage bags will be helpful in cleaning up.

A Forest Ranger has to be alert at all times. You need to observe what's going on in your forest and quickly intervene with a threat. Maybe it's a smoldering fire, or maybe poachers have set up snares again.

Despite the fact that we were not able to raise enough money on Kickstarter, we worked hard so that nevertheless the mechanics and features presented even on the higher tiers could be included in the game. You will find them all already on the Early Access release of the game. They will, of course, be further developed.

Sandbox and Story Modes

It’s up to you to choose how you will contribute to saving the forests. Complete tasks, learn about the next stages of the game and learn many interesting facts about the life of the Forest Ranger and nature itself in quest/story mode. In sandbox mode, you are free like a bird. Do whatever you want. You can create a Statue of Liberty from trash if you are skillful and patient enough!

You’re not a Captain Planet

Don’t Look Up! The problem is closer than you think. The valley you live in is entirely covered with trash. Hunker down, grab a bin liner, and let your area challenge. Look for them, find them, grab them, sort them, and get rid of them once and for all. Pay attention to the constraints of your body - if you collect too much, you may have a hard time carrying it back home. So, firstly plan it wisely, and then, maybe a new set of wheels can help you out.

Learn to Go Green

There are over 150 different trash in the game. Learn how to sort them. Sometimes you can find a real treasure in the rubbish - a really rare and valuable object. What to do with them? One option is to sell it on the market and instead buy new tools, chic furniture for your place, or even, buy your own car to scale up your business! No worries, if you really like something you found, simply keep it and use it to decorate your house. It’s all up to you!

Do or do not, there is no trying!

As a forest ranger, your job will be to take care of the forest. The plague of today's times is garbage. Forests are flooded with rubbish! Firstly you will need to look for them and recognize what type of trash is it. As in real life nowadays you can’t throw them all into one bin. Accurate sorting can be profitable as some of the trash is not really trash as you can sell it online for some bucks. Good forest ranger needs to take care of animals living in the woods. Give some food to hungry birds, build a bird feeder, and remove the traps left by poachers.
Build bee yards in the forest, buy and build birdhouses, and repair hives. Don’t forget to take care of animals and remove animal traps, make sure you prevent fire and do more, so much more.

Real-life simulation

Discover a unique in-game but known in-life trash sorting mechanic, proper day and night differences, where night means is really dark, special immersive lifting and carrying objects. Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads. Explore the forests, discover and learn about plants, herbs, and mushrooms. Meet and observe animals. Try not to get lost after sunset, appreciate the reflections of the sunrise. Slow down and relax.

Remember that a portion of revenues from the game will be donated to foundations all over the world that are dedicated to plating new forests.
