Why Early Access?

“We’ll be launching Necronator: Dead Wrong with one playable campaign and a good chunk of content, but there will be a lot more content to come over the following six months or so: more commanders, more cards, more relics, more single-player campaigns, and more units.

We want to use the Early Access period to take in player feedback and tune the game accordingly.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

Necronator: Dead Wrong will be in early access for 6-8 months: we want to get to a full 1.0 launch in 2020.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will add more commanders, more events, more units and unit upgrades, and generally more content. You can expect at least two more single-player campaigns, additional tiers of unit upgrades, and more commanders to play as.

We have a clear roadmap of where we're going but we want to make sure we get players' feedback and participation in making Necronator: Dead Wrong the very best it can be.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version will be more or less feature complete, but we will take player feedback on board and add features to the roadmap if necessary. Early Access is planned to mostly be about adding content to the game.

Currently, the game features the first campaign which allows you to experience a series of battles and encounters on a randomly generated map that is different every time you play. There is one commander available to play as, with one card deck available immediately, and an additional card deck that you can unlock by playing.

You'll have a great time taking on the forces of Livmore: because no two runs will ever be the same: there are 12 different units to add to your army with a range of semi-random upgrades for every card in the game. You can get hours of fun from the game right now, with more content coming over the next several months.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We may raise the price once the game reaches Version 1.0 and has the full array of features and content we've planned.”

“We will be monitoring Steam reviews, forums, Twitter, and our own Discord for feedback — please be sure to let us know what you think of the game and what you’d like to see in the 1.0 version.”

Sure, maybe you’ve only just graduated from the Undead Academy, but the mysterious Chubat sees your potential! Build an unstoppable army of orcs, skeletons and trolls and unleash them upon the lands of Livmore to take the title of Necronator, greatest of the Necromancers!

Necronator: Dead Wrong is a deck-building card game combined with a roguelite micro-RTS: add and remove units & spells to your deck to make powerful synergies. Your deck will evolve as you progress through the single-player campaign, encountering comedic events and challenging battles. No two campaign runs are the same, making Necronator: Dead Wrong endlessly replayable.

Become one of several distinct commanders, each with their own starting decks and new units. As you progress you will add powerful new units and spell cards and discover synergies that make you more deadly. or remove them to streamline your deck.

Deploy your units into the right lanes to face down the forces of the living and conquer their castles. Cast powerful spells to destroy your foes or buff your troops. Don’t take too long, though: the enemy’s reinforcements are coming!

Over 200 cards and upgrades and more than 20 unique relics mean that no two runs are ever the same. Experiment with different deck builds and learn all of the secrets of the Necronator.

The commanders all have their own reasons for seeking the Necronator, and their stories unfold in narrative events co-written by former Fallen London scribe Chandler Groover.

We’ve been steadily updating Necronator: Dead Wrong since Early Access launch in February 2020, and we’re always listening to feedback from the players as we keep the content coming.

FEBRUARY 2020: 3 smaller updates that added new units, new spells, new relics, new maps, and UI improvements.

MARCH 5th, 2020: The Infinity Update added a new endless mode, allowing you to take a winning deck back into a New Game+ run with a higher difficulty. We also added new relics, new status effects, and new spell cards.

APRIL, 2nd 2020: The Sand and Deliver Update will add a second sector to the campaign with a new desert biome, new desert-themed units, a new boss, an all-new special unit spawning mechanic, plus lots of new cards.

Future updates will add two more campaign sectors, new bosses, cards, relics, and maps, and more commanders to play as with unique starting decks and units.
