Why Early Access?

“We have been working on Snacko for years now, but we are a small team of two. Even with the help and funding of our publisher, this is a massive project. Early Access allows us to finish up the game’s development at a more reasonable pace while involving the community for feedback on the experience in a way that ensures Snacko is the game people expect it to be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We anticipate Snacko will be in Early Access for less than a year. We will refine and communicate this target as we go, but we want to get and implement our necessary feedback from players while still adhering to a production timeline that will let us wrap up QA and porting for full 1.0 launch.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Snacko will flesh out a lot of the existing content and systems in the game, and have better UI/UX support, especially for controllers. We plan on adding more craftables, making the mines more compelling, expanding on post-bonding (marriage) life, giving the nature sprite more powers and progression to help out, letting the player expand and customize their house, and a host of other improvements and balance tweaks… not to mention lots and lots of bug fixing.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“In its current state, Snacko’s main storyline can be played from start to finish, and you can farm, fish, craft, explore, and even flirt with NPCs to your heart’s content. All of the game’s core systems are in and functional, though some - like the mines and better gamepad quality of life, for example - are currently being refined and polished for a better overall experience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not plan on changing the price of Snacko after Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will regularly be soliciting feedback from players on both specific items/systems, as well as what they might like to see in the future. (Note: we cannot promise that we will make any unplanned sweeping changes or additions to content, such as adding new systems or characters, based on player request.) We’ll also be regularly monitoring and engaging with the Steam forums and reviews. Players can opt to join our Discord community as well with hundreds of other fans, where the developers regularly interact.”
