Why Early Access?

“We think Early Access is a good fit for Rogue Masters because the entire base gameplay and mechanics are already implemented in a stable state, but we still have a lot of things we want to polish and content we wish to add to the game in order to consider it as a full release. Getting to shape the game with the feedback from the community to guide what kind of polishment or content players would like to see prioritized is important to us, so we can better discuss the best way to approach the development and make the game the best it can be for our players.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“To ensure Rogue Masters reaches the high standards of quality expected by the soulslike community, we estimate the game may stay in Early Access roughly until early 2025.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We want the full version to differ from the Early Access version mainly in the amount of content available in the game - we plan on adding new content to enable different playstyles and experiences such as new game modes, maps, weapons and bosses.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game currently has all the features listed in the "About This Game" section below, so please refer to it. Regarding relevant content, we currently have 3 game modes (Horde, Endless and Deathmatch), 4 maps, 6 weapon categories with 12 weapons each and 1 boss enemy on top of 13 unique enemies, each one with an "elite" variant.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We want Rogue Masters to have a reduced price for those who support us during the Early Access period while we add more content and polishment to the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want to keep a close relationship with the community through our official communication channels, such as the Steam forums, our Discord server and our social media pages. Not only will we keep a close watch on any feedback players have to offer, but we'll also provide tools for adequate bug reporting should players find bugs in the game and wish to help us by reporting it. Last but not least, we're also keen on incentivizing and sometimes possibly organizing community events taking place inside the game.”
