Why Early Access?

“We’re excited about some of the creative new systems and content we’re developing for Guilt: The Deathless, and we know that our community is as excited as we are. As such we decided to release the game on Early Access to ensure it develops with our community’s input as much as possible.

In addition, due to the large-scale online systems we’re developing for Guilt: The Deathless, Early Access was a perfect fit to test our new shared-world online gameplay ideas on a larger, more consistent user base.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Timelines are flexible at the moment, but we’re aiming to release the full game in 2024”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full launch of Guilt: The Deathless will include new regions, new story characters and content, and new mechanics and systems (like other ways to influence the world map for everyone). We will be updating and revising these plans based on community feedback and input.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access release contains around one half of the full game’s planned content. This includes the first three overworld regions, which each comprise large explorable hex-maps with procedurally generated and remixed elements, multiple biomes and an end boss.

This version also features functioning versions of all the game’s core systems – some of which may change during development. These include:

• Real-time combat with multiple enemy and boss types in procedural dungeons
  
• The core ‘guilt’ system, creating meaningful gameplay choices
  
• Magic, equipment crafting and enchantment systems
  
• Character creation and customization, with character corpses left for other players to find
  
• Explorable overworld hex maps featuring story and shop locations, along with roaming enemies

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Pricing for the game has not been agreed on yet, but the price of the game will increase before the final version is released.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We engage our community via our public Discord channel and the Steam Community Forums. Any member of the Discord community is welcome to suggest ideas and features for the game in our “ideas-feedback” Discord channel, with a guaranteed response from a member of the development team.”
