What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Astrosphere is a sci-fi game about relaxed exploration, expanding your own space station, and gradually developing a small interstellar base. The focus is on atmosphere, progression, resources, research, shipbuilding, and the feeling of venturing deeper and deeper into unknown star systems.

Early Access gives me the opportunity to further develop this foundation together with the community. It is important to me that Astrosphere does not feel hectic or overloaded, but becomes a game players can return to again and again: to explore new systems, expand their station, improve their ships, and steadily build up their progress.

Player feedback helps me find the right balance between relaxed exploration, meaningful management, clear usability, interesting discoveries, and occasional dangers in space. For me, Early Access is therefore an active development process to make Astrosphere more polished, stable, and atmospheric over time.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Astrosphere has been in Early Access since June 26, 2024. A shorter Early Access period was originally planned, but developing the core systems, game structure, and long-term progression has taken more time than initially expected.

At the moment, I expect Astrosphere to remain in Early Access for roughly another year. This estimate may change depending on development progress, player feedback, and any necessary reworks.

My goal is not to mark Astrosphere as finished too early, but to use the Early Access period in a meaningful way. The game should continue to develop step by step into a more relaxed, more substantial, and better-balanced sci-fi exploration game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Astrosphere is intended to build upon the current foundation and expand the experience especially in the areas of exploration, progression, atmosphere, and usability.

Planned improvements and expansions include areas such as space station development, research, ship systems, resource management, star systems, events, user guidance, balancing, and long-term motivation. New technologies, additional ship customization options, and more variety when exploring unfamiliar systems are also part of the intended direction.

An important focus is to connect the individual game systems more strongly. Space station, research, shipbuilding, resources, and exploration flights should influence each other in a meaningful way over time. Players should not feel pressured, but should be able to find their own rhythm: planning, expanding, improving, exploring, and unlocking new possibilities.

Dangers such as pirates or other threats can still be part of the journey, but they are not intended to dominate the entire flow of the game. Astrosphere should feel more like an atmospheric and accessible space game where exploration and development are at the center of the experience.

Since Astrosphere is still in active development, specific content and priorities may change during Early Access. Player feedback will play an important role in this process.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version of Astrosphere is playable and already contains the core foundations of the game. Players can expand their space station, manage resources, research technologies, build and equip ships, and explore unfamiliar star systems.

The current focus is on the interaction between station, ships, resources, and exploration. You travel to different sectors, collect materials, discover anomalies, improve your capabilities, and gradually expand your reach in space.

The game already includes progression systems, space station modules, ship systems, repairs, NPC behavior, combat, and technical foundations for future content. Some systems are already well playable, while others will continue to be expanded, reworked, and improved during Early Access.

During Early Access, regular updates are released with new features, improvements, bug fixes, and balancing changes. Players should expect mechanics, values, user interfaces, and content to continue changing throughout development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price may increase during development and especially with the full version. Early Access players therefore have the opportunity to support Astrosphere at an earlier stage and at a lower entry price.

A possible price adjustment will depend on the scope of the game, new content, additional features, and overall development progress. Any concrete changes will be communicated in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community is an important part of Astrosphere’s ongoing development. The central place for this is the Discord server. There, players can share feedback, suggest ideas, report bugs, and follow the development more directly.

Feedback on how Astrosphere feels is especially important to me: Is exploration motivating? Does the game flow feel comfortable? Is expanding the station understandable and rewarding? Are resources, research, and shipbuilding connected in a meaningful way? Are there parts where the game feels too hectic, unclear, or slow?

I use feedback from the community to set priorities more effectively and guide development in the right direction. In addition, I will continue to publish updates, patch notes, and development progress.

The goal is to continue developing Astrosphere transparently and step by step: into a relaxed, atmospheric sci-fi exploration game with base building, progression, and a growing game world.”

About This Game

Your journey through the cosmos begins at your own pace.

Astrosphere is a relaxed sci-fi strategy game about exploration, station building, and slowly expanding your presence in space. You are not commanding a frantic war fleet. Instead, you develop your own space station step by step, design custom ships, and set out on expeditions into unknown star systems.

Explore distant sectors, gather valuable resources, discover anomalies, and bring your findings safely back to your station. Every journey expands your options: new technologies, improved systems, stronger ships, and more control over your path through the galaxy.

Main Features:

  • Build and expand your space station
Add new modules, improve your systems, and turn your station into your personal home among the stars. Your station is not just a menu screen — it is the center of your progress between expeditions.

  • Design your own spaceships
Create and improve ships that match your playstyle. Customize systems, equipment, and functions so your ships better support your goals: exploring, gathering, surviving, and reaching deeper into space.

  • Explore procedural star systems
Travel to unknown sectors, scan objects, find resources, and uncover what lies hidden in deep space. Astrosphere focuses on the feeling that there is always one more place to discover.

  • Gather resources and research new technologies
Use your expeditions to collect metals, crystals, and other valuable materials. Invest them into research, upgrades, and new possibilities for your station and ships.

  • Play at your own pace
Astrosphere is designed around a calmer flow. You can plan, build, upgrade, and explore without constant pressure. Dangers exist, but the heart of the game lies in discovery, optimization, and steady progress.

  • An atmospheric sci-fi experience
Enjoy the quiet vastness of space, futuristic stations, distant systems, and a presentation that draws you into a calm, mysterious sci-fi world.

Astrosphere is currently in Early Access and continues to grow over time. New content, improvements, and systems are added step by step.

Build your station. Design your ships. Explore the cosmos at your own pace.
