I haven't played much yet, I have just had it running in background. Today I decided to actually try and play the game. Not too difficult to learn how to move the character around with the grav and anti grav beam/shot things. Seems like a fun platformer, and from the other reviews is quite short. Nice if you like the sense of achievement that comes with finishing a game! I give it 7/10

Decent game, especially when it's on sale and you get it for next to nothing. As the others said, it alone is worth getting for the cards when it is on sale, but you will also get a couple hours of enjoyment out of it as well.

Basically, your goal is to get through levels using a portal that can pull objects in towards it and a portal that can push objects away from it. The levels start out quite easy, but they do start to get more challenging towards the end and especially in the mode after you beat the game on normal.

Overall pretty fun game for 22 cents when it's on sale.

I gotta say, I initially bought this game for the cards, but after actually playing it, I gotta say those 22 cents were worth it. For a game like this, I wasn't really expecting the game play to be quite interesting. It's a puzzle platformer but the mechanics work kinda like Portal, you have a gun that shoots force energy thingys that either pull (blue) you or push you (orange). Also really nice wallpapers. Give this game a try, unless you're a peasent that has a gaming pc only to play the free games on steam.

Only 24 cents for a 1 hour long, fun and challenging game with excellent soundtrack. No reason not to buy it.

If you are reading this on when the steam sales are still in, OMG, go and get this one and fast.

You can see from the hour count it is not very long game, as I have beaten it once or even twice, can't realy remember... but that's the only downside of it - that it cant go any longer than it is!

It is an Indie-2 dimensional puzzle game, very fun and relaxing yet not boring almost at any point.

The story line - is not super evolved, as it is, a puzzle game. there is a small background explanation of the 'events' leading the player into the puzzle series, simple enough to make sense.

The soundtrack - Unbelievably amazing. In fact, i haven't played this game for more than a few months now, and the reason i'm writing this is that i got on a loop of movies & video games OST, suddenly got back to the soundtrack of this game and remembered the fond memories i have from the music escorting me through the game levels as the get harder and harder. The tracks are neat, chill and relaxing and very fun to listen even outside the game. I'm almost sure i can speak for many when I say that the music is an undivided part of the actual gameplay.

The Puzzles/levels - Very fun, despite the fact this game doesn't have crazy graphics. As I discovered, all you need is some obstacles and a nice gravity-controlling device to keep you grounded to the screen for 2-3 hours straight.

Overall opinion: a good way of having fun in a relaxing puzzle environment, listening to good music and just taking a break from life. if you have some 'change' left on your steam wallet from big purchases and you're looking for something refreshing definitely go for this gem.

The ability to alter gravity in a platformer is nothing new, but using gravity wells to do so is a novel concept that I haven't really seen done- at least, not with player controlled wells. At 24 levels, Defy Gravity is pretty short, but...

Despite only having 24 levels, this is one of the most frustrating games I've played in a while. To put it bluntly: the main mechanics don't work right. Sometimes the wells pull you in/push you away as they're supposed to, sometimes nothing happens. Often with the blue wells I found myself looping around the center and dying, simply because the game felt like it. The design of most of the levels, especially near the end demand near perfect control with this utterly broken mechanic.

Oh, and your air jump replenishes weirdly, sometimes triggers on the ground (hello, death!), and cuts all horizontal momentum when you jump.

Hard mode strips you of the anti-wells and the only way to get any reliability from the mechanics is to use both in conjunction.

Literally the only upside to this game is you can buy it, turn around and sell the cards for more money than the game itself. I guess that it's short helps too, but really this is not worth the effort to play through.

Great soundtrack, interesting/fun mechanics, several hours of platforming fun; what more could you ask of for a game that only cost $1.99?

If you don't like paying for flash games then don't buy this. It really is not much different from something you can find for free online but there are a lot of people who spend more on trading cards than this game. It's worth the price. I felt a bit of nostalgia to platforming games when I was playing this. The soundtrack is the icing on the cake. It's a great game for what it is.
