Despre acest joc

Recettear is the story of an item shop, the girl who lives in it, and the fairy who turned her life upside down. Recette Lemongrass finds herself in charge of an item shop built into her house, in order to pay back a loan her father took and then skipped out on - and Tear, her newfound fairy "companion", won't take no for an answer! As Recette, you have to decide how you'll get your stock - either through playing the markets in town or going out into the wild with an adventuring friend and thrashing beasts until they give up the goodies - how much to sell things for, what the shop should look like, and how to best go about getting the money Tear needs to pay off the loan. If you can't come up with the money... well, hope you like living in a cardboard box.

Key features:

  • Manage all aspects of an item shop – from stock to interior design!
  • Explore randomized dungeons – never quite the same twice!
  • Multiple adventurers to choose from when dungeon-diving – no two play the same!
  • Plenty to do after beating the game – challenge yourself with Survival Mode or play to your heart's delight in Endless Mode!
  • Engaging story, localized by Carpe Fulgur – get to know the people of Pensee!

This game is a lot of fun!

I went into this game expecting an average game due to the look on the cover, but I got something that actually surprised me in how fun it was. To give a brief summary of the gameplay, you are a shopkeeper selling villagers and adventureres items in order to pay back debts. So basically it is the other side of the gameplay in most RPG games which makes it entertaining. The game is rather easy to understand and get a hold of and is realitvely short once you understand it. Paying off the debt isn't actually that big of a challenge, but its fun to work to that. There is also an ARPG mode where you can explore dungeons and get items back to sell.

Although the game is pretty fun, it starts to get repetitive near the end. However, due to the shortness of the game, unless you continue on in endless or survival, it is the perfect amount to keep you interested. Overall, fun game to play especially if you like the feeling of making profit (like me. I always go play the role of merchant in games I play and try to horde and maximize profit haha).

This is a story about a little girl scamming the whole town to buy item overpriced and sell underpriced because "Fairy Debt Collector" suddenly came to her house and demand a payment every week...

One day at her store...
Old Man: "Can i get a treasure?"
Girl: "Sure here... how about 125% price?"
Old Man: "Eww... i don't have that much money"
Girl: "OK i give you 100% price then"
Old Man: "Are you mad? I'm poor old man ya know!?"
Girl: "Then why the **** you want to get a treasure!?!"

and her story continues...

Like the tag show it is cute dungon crawler with a very mello vibe. It's also a good game to learn about the power of mony from. But in a possitive way. It can teach you a few reasons price for good can go up and down all the time in real life. It also gives ininsite into running your own bussiness. On that not most bussiness fail withing the first year. Recttear's will be no different. With each mounth you will be required to pay more and more mony to pay of a never ending det.

Tip for the wise. "DON'T" stress not having enought money to pay your pills because all they do is play it off like a bad dream so expect to relive a few story chunks. However they do strip you of all your money but do not take your items. So tip is If you will not have the cash to pay off your current dete go out and buy all the best weapons and armor you can. This will give your Allies a good early boost for clearing the beginning dungeon. Second is if you cant find any armor or weapons you need then buy candy of any kind. The value of items will go up and down all the time but candy is the first item to go up when you are introduced tot he system. This again is a way to get a good early start.

I put off buying this game for 3 years, decided to grab it during the sale. I haven't been able to stop playing it since I started it. I love it, beat the game twice and then started the endless mode to gain better items and build a bigger store. Having a store and selling stuff is addicting, especially when the money adds up to millions later on!!

It's a simple game. A young girl needs to pay off her fathers debt, and to do so her and her fairy companion start a store in her house.

My favorite is hunting for items in the dungeon!! Fighting the monsters is really fun, and not hard at all.

I'm so into this game, looking for other's like it. Maybe, Chantelise - A Tale of Two Sisters next.
If anyone has any recommendations, I would appreciate it! :)

Solid Game,

You'll finish it within 10 hours, but definitely worth the money. Nice story, great shop/rpg/arcade combination. You can win it any way you like.

Spend a couple of bucks and try this!

I bought this game a little while ago, just for fun, but I soon found how amazing and addicting this game is! It's a mixture of dungeon crawling with bosses and capitalism at its finest! Item values change with each day as stocks go down, events occur, or even a priest delivering a message to the people. Find items in the dungeon, and sell them in your shop, and use that money to improve your adventurer's' chances of survival or to just buy items to resell later at much more profit.

This game turned out to be one a great game, and I would recommend it to anyone who like RPG and Capitalistic games.
10/10, maybe an 11.

From the screens, I had assumed this game would have a fair amount of dungeon-crawly, character-leveling goodness, which, uh, isn't really the case. There's a fair amount of characters you gain access to send to the dungeon, but there isn't a huge reason to use any of them but the first guy since it's all pretty easy and pretty much the same.

I beat the game in 8 hours, spending most of my time focused on the shop - which, I get it, is the point of a game called Item Shop. But it felt like the game wanted to be more than just a shop sim, and it could have done a better job focusing on either the shop or the dungeon element.

It got eight hours out of me, but I ended up kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that I gave it that at the end since there wasn't a whole lot of 'wrap-up' done with the numerous NPCs. I just kinda met the money goal and then that was it. Meh. Not for me.

Recettear was that game always in the back of my head. It sounded good, running an item store, hiring adventurers to lug your stuff back so you could sell it. It was unique.

Grabbing it in the Anime Sale, I dove in and instantly knew I'd be running the most fair adventuring item store. In the lore of the game, 130% of base price is a 'respectable' sell price, which is assumed to mean, fair.

I set my constant initial offer to 120%, and that was that. 70% of customers didn't want to pay that, they believed the guild who ran 130% baseline were cheaper. This went on for three days, until I was ripping my hair out, wondering how the customers couldn't see the fair deal they were being given constantly. Through frustration, and necessity, the fourth day I gave huge prices to my items, 150% ~ 160%, none of them stormed off at the initial offer...

"Can't you make it just a little cheaper?"

147%

"That's a fair price!"

That lady who wants the bread?
♥♥♥♥ her.

That old man needing clothes?
♥♥♥♥ him.

That little girl who needs gardening gloves?
♥♥♥♥ her too.

The next customer?
♥♥♥♥ them the hardest.

Welcome to Recettear... how can I ♥♥♥♥ you today?

Favorite moments:

Old man comes in an says his grandson has been pestering him for some anti-venom, I can't help but imagine his grandson in the basement slowly dying to poison and being all like: "Grandfather, I beggeth thee, I need anti-venom" and then the grandfather goes into a "In MY day..." about how they didn't have anti-venom and they became men by enduring it, I didn't sell him the anti-venom 11/10 would not sell him anti-venom again.

Family Mother comes in: "My family is in dire need of a hat"....huh-uh, your FAMILY needs ONE hat....NO, NO don't lie, your family doesn't need a hat, YOU want a hat and are using your family as an excuse to treat yourself.

Louis comes in: "I need a scarf" OMG GO F*** YOURSELF I SOLD YOU LIKE 2789 SCARVES ALREADY, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I GOT THIS 30000 pix ARMOR JUST FOR YOU, SPECIAL F***ING PRICE, JUST ASK FOR IT AND IT'S 15000 pix....nope scarf scarf scarf scarf scarf.....I lost my mind when this occured.

I want to say that this is my FAVORITE game, 100%, whenever I'm feeling down, whenever I'm feeling sad...this game makes me go through all the emotions.Happy to clear a dungeon, find a rare Item, get my combo going, Sad when I have to make a choice, buy more stuff (sale) or go exploring, Anger when the little girl WANTS THE MOST EXPENSIVE ARMOR IN MY SHOP AND SAYS SHE CAN'T AFFORD IT! OMG little girl, you don't go with your sh**ty 30 pix and think Imma sell you a 300000 pix armor, A) F*** YOU! B) it doesn't fit you, it's for grown man. and C-Z) F*** YOU!

This game makes me wish for meteorites to just hit all little girls in this universe.

I'm Recette Harrison, and this is my pawn shop. I work here with my old fairy and my senpai, "Big Louie." Everything in here has a story and a price. At my shop, family comes first, and money comes second, depending on who ya ask.

Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale surprises and delights on a level that I didn't expect from such a small game. There are many facets to this game that are on the surface missed, but appreciated after many hours playing the game.

The story is rather simple, you are left with the care of a shop and are required to pay back a debt that your father left you with, so capitalism and careful planning are your only means of digging yourself out of this debt. At first the requirements seem staggering, as each week you progress you're required to pay back more than the last, but the game is forgiving and if you miss a payment you'll restart in a better spot than when you first started your game.

This game truly shines if you enjoy item management (as I do, clearly), as well as RPG elements that aren't extraordinarily deep but yet very enjoyable. The shop management experience found in this game, as well as the bartering that you're required to do to excel, is something that I had never experienced before and found it delightful.

Sound for this game is so-so, and could be better but certainly doesn't detract from the overall appeal of the game. The graphics work well for what the game is looking to accomplish. Unfortunately, the supported resolutions require me to typically run the game in windowed mode (I have multiple monitors that are connected to my desktop, and it's a hassle to go full screen with Recettear). This is a minor annoyance, but certainly something that won't affect all players.

Finally, the controls work well for the game, and I typically play with a connected controller. The support for the peripheral has proven to be one of the largest draws for the game, as I can kick back in my chair and play for a couple of hours with relative ease. I use a wired Xbox 360 controller, but I'm sure that other similar configurations from either the 360 or One will function just as well.

Overall, I recommend Recettear for anyone looking for a new and unique experience. This game has a lot of potential, and while I have played the sequel a little, I find myself continuing to enjoy the original. Be forewarned, however, that this game is not for everyone. If you find item management in other RPGs tedious and a piece that you'd rather avoid, do not buy this game. It really won't prove to be to your liking.

This game made me realise how much of a monster I was.
I have scammed the poor and innocent little girl multiple times, possibly causing her to get scolded by her mother many many times.
I have refused to pay good prices for items from the old man, even though I know he had financial difficulties.
I have cheated poor Louie so many times, even when he told me that it has been a rough month for him.

I feel like such a horrible greedy monster. 10/10.

You know how when you play The Elder Scrolls, all you are really doing is
1) Go into house/dungeon
2) Loot/steal everything
3) Schlepp it back to town and sell it
4) Use money you made to buy better equipment
5) Repeat for 300 hours

Well imagine if, instead of simply selling that stuff to NPCs, you had your OWN shop, and you put all of that loot you collected on sale in your shop and people came in and bought it from you, and you made your money from it THAT way. But sometimes a bratty little girl would come into the shop and say that she wanted to buy a murder weapon for stabbing kids on the playground, and you think that's pretty cool, so you sell it to her at a discount. Then other adventurers start selling you THEIR loot to resell. And you can even set up your shop to keep running and selling things while you are out getting MORE things to sell. And old men will come in and haggle with you over the price of a sweet roll. And there is an actual fluctuating economy that effects the demand for categories of items and what people are willing to pay for them, which you have to work around but can also exploit! And if your shop makes a lot of money, you can INSTALL FANCY CARPET.

Best loot loop ever. If you thought you were a constantly-encumbered hoarder in Elder Scrolls, just wait until you play recettear. I MUST SELL EVERYTHING. IS THAT A ROCK? I BET I COULD SELL THAT ROCK.

Seriously, though, why isn't this an official part of Elder Scrolls yet?

On the rating scale below, I give this game a hearty 7!

7) A classic, essential, and/or must-buy game that is worth full price.
6) A good game that is worth the full price.
5) A pretty good game worth checking out--especially if discounted.
4) A pretty good game, but I would recommend buying it discounted.
3) Worth checking out, but I would recommend buying it heavily discounted.
2) Only worth checking out if you are dangerously curious.
1) Avoid at all costs.

A ten year old girl gets a visit from a loan shark fairy and has to pay off her AWOL dad's humongous debts or get kicked out of her house. So you hire an adventurer and go dungeoneering to get items to sell. You sell swords to little girls. ("It's an errand!" Sure it is...) And NOBODY bats an eye! Also some kawaii factor but do not be misled, this game is harder than it looks. Getting the debt done without a "loop" (starting over at day 2 but with the items you've colleted so far) is extremely difficult - wouldn't say impossible but I haven't pulled it off - yet.

There even is a bit of storyline, which is cute and keeps it from being monotunous. It's absolutely impossible to complete the game (getting all dungeons, adventurers and items) in one go, so there's nice replay value there.
I played 100 hours and 6 loops to beat the final level endboss - OR SO I THOUGHT, and got the encyclopedia 61% complete. Don't even ask me about the "true cards".

Great value for money, sorta casual dungeoneering + item shop simulator.
10/10 great dungeoneering+shop+kawaii combo, capitalism ho!
