Well Star Wars Republic Commando is imo one of the best Star Wars games out their....may even be better then Battlefront 2 or Knights of the old republic but damn that's a hard choice. All Star Wars games are awesome.
But back to Star Wars Republic Commando.
It is such a badass game. You get to command 3 Squad mates while battling your way though the galaxy on geonosis,A creepy ♥♥♥ spaceship,(That level still gives me the creeps), and kashyyyk.
While at the same time getting a bunch of sweet cool weapons and fighting a bunch of cool enemies.
Sadly their isn't any 4 player Co op but i'm pretty sure their is or someone is gonna make a mod for that.(I hope)
In general you should buy it. Star Wars fan or not buy it. Like FPS Games? Buy it. Like Star wars? ♥♥♥♥ing Buy it.
All in all 10/10 One of the best games ever made imo.

Fantasic game, worth every cent.
Great campaign with great AI Squadmates, locations, and creatures to fight.
Also includes multiplayer, a simple deathmatch, not too many people playing online, but still fun with some decent maps.

NO! Stop what you're doing right now! Don't buy that game for $20 that you would never even play after 2 weeks! Buy this game right now! It's fun, challenging, and an FPS. What more could you want?

A shooter from a few years ago that's showing it's age, but the gameplay is still fun. The story is kick-♥♥♥, which makes up for the AI which can be stupid at times. Squad banter is the best thing about this game. Also, the ending makes me want a sequal something fierce.

LIKE, SO BAD. I NEED IT - I NEED A SEQUAL.

SEV PLS. I WILL COME 4 U. JUST W8.

I forgot how amazing this game was! Back in the day this was one of my favorite Star Wars games. The gameplay is pretty linear but thats not a bad thing. It is quite difficult at times and if you dont use your commands correctly, it could mean the end of you and your squad. Love the perspective it gives you as a trooper and in first person. This game is quite old but it still looks great! If you havnt played this before or havnt in a long time, i highly recommend this! Its a gem for Star Wars fans. Its only $10, why not get this?

Tinkering might be needed.
I needed to set "bump" setting in the video option to low. Then I could set everything else to highest. Otherwise it would crash (Found this inf. on the internets).

So now that I am 90 minutes into it I can see why everyone loved this game. Its a solid FPS. The guns are not great but the action is exciting, the voice acting is sooo much better than today's crappy FPS games. The music is awesome. Your NPC buddies are kick **s. The world is simple old lo res but full of atmosphere. It's smooth. I'm enjoying it... It's supposed to be about 10 hours which is fine with me. It's too dated for me to put more then 10 hours into it. But it's more then worth a $1 per hour.

For instance, I managed to enjoy shadow of mordor (at least the killing chieftans) because of cutting edge animations and fun high res combat ** DESPITE the horrible generic characters, awful forgettable plot lines, dreary music, and repetitive environments. This game you will get as much
value for your money. The combat animations suck and the shooting is not the greatest(but it's OK - and there is some tactical parts) but the GAME as a whole is well conceived and extremely well executed. It's better than the AAA titles of the modern era.

**I know Mordor is not a FPS so the comparison is not 1:1 but it's the last game I played and the most "new" and slickest game to have been released so I'm just comparing value and I'm making a case for trying out this dated title. TYPE or PASTE your text here...

I bought this game during the May 4th sale because I thought it looked cool. It's been sitting in my library ever since because I never decided to play it. And even though I only have a few hours on it, I still find it a really good game.

Star Wars Republic Commando is a very good game that unfortunatley not many people have ever heard of. This game desperately needs a sequel, but sadly will probaly never get one. Star Wars Republic Commando puts you in the role of leader of Delta squad. Delta squad is an elite fighting group for the Republic. Unlike most clones you are trained better, given better equipment, and overall more inteligent. Your group consists of four members, all of which have their specialtys and unique traits. I was suprised at how good the graphics are in this game, they manage to keep things simple and yet still keep the game looking good. The sound effects are all up to par with the rest of the game. I would like to say that it's nice to see a Star Wars game that doesn't just copy the movie soundtrack. The music is good and sounds like Star Wars but is unique to this game. The gameplay is very good and all the weapon (aside from the pistol) feel very satisfying. Now about the pistol, it feels less like a blaster and more like a nerf gun. You can control your squad and tell them to do specific tasks such as set an explosive, splice a terminal, or even go to a sniping position. There are three levels in SWRP, all of which keep the game fresh and enjoyable. Geonosis is the first level and is fairly easy compared to the rest of the game. The Prosecutor or ghost ship is the second level and has a creepy ambient atmosphere. The third and final level is Kayshyk, the wookie homeworld has a very unique enviorment compared to levels one and two. Each level is about two hours and is split into several different chapters. I have two main issues with the game, the first is the lack of enemy variation. You will only see about ten different types of enemies through out the game and I wish they would include a little more variation there. My second issue is the length of the game. The game only took me six hours to complete on medium difficulty and I really wish it was longer. Finaly there is also a multypayer mode which is decent but not worth spending any real time with. I would give this game a solid 7.9/10. I think they could of done so much with this series but sadly I doubt we will ever see a sequel. For those interested there is a book series about the Republic Commandoes, the first book is called Hard Contact.
