Hotfix 1.02 Now Live!

Hey everyone!

Thanks to your diligence in reporting bugs to us through Discord and email (support@survios.com), we've squashed enough to put out a second hotfix!

Patch Notes for Hotfix 1.0.2 (released February 15, 2018)
  • Grip Input Inversion Option (Oculus Only) – This option is intended to assist users who have difficulty with accidentally pressing the grip buttons during races. When enabled, players will only be able to move while the grip buttons are being held. To brake, players will need to release the grip button.
  • Improved AI Pathing – Multiple fixes to AI racer behavior throughout several race maps so that they better emulate the behavior of human players.
  • Oculus Player Listings – Fixes an issue for Oculus players where the menu would list their player name as “Player” instead of their Oculus ID.
  • Improved Aim Assist – Players should no longer be able to target themselves with projectile weapons when moving at highspeed.
  • Destructible Objects Respawn – Destructible items should now respawn during the power up tutorial so that players can practice destroying them.
  • Empty Power-Up Ball – This build decreases the probability of players not receiving an item when they run through a power-up.
  • Finish Line Teleportation – This build fixes an issue where players would occasionally not finish the race and teleport to the completion area after crossing the finish line.
  • General Graphical Performance – This patch contains several assorted improvements to graphical improvements on low- and mid-spec hardware.
  • General Stability Improvements – This patch contains several assorted improvements to server and application stability.
Thanks so much for all your ongoing help. We really appreciate the feedback and all the amazing support and positive reviews you guys have given us. Be sure to participate in our first Weekly Challenge this weekend, go race against your friends in Discord, and have a sprint-tacular weekend!

Sprint Vector Weekly Challenges Start...NOW!

Greetings Vectorheads! Now that you've had some time to practice sprinting the various vectors, it's time to get serious. Stretch our your swinging arms and assume the power stance, because our Sprint Vector Weekly Challenges officially start...NOW!

What are the Weekly Challenges, and why should you participate? Not only do the Weekly Challenges encourage you to show us what you got on an assortment of maps and game modes, but a victory gives you a shot at participating in Mr. E's Master League, an upcoming community competition where only the speediest survive! On the official Survios Discord--which currently has over 1,000 active members!--you'll also earn exclusive Vectorhead flair and an invite to a private "winner's circle" channel.

To start us off, we're going a bit easy on you: race your way through the Termination solo challenge map on Time Trial mode.

When you've achieved your top time--you must beat a time of 1:15 to qualify--submit your official entry using the form on this blog (we can't link to Google Forms through Steam, apologies for the inconvenience). Entries must be submitted by Sunday, February 18, at 11:59pm PST and are limited to one per player. However, if you put up a better time after you've already submitted, don't fret: you can update your existing submission with it.

Since Mr. Entertainment doesn't want things too complicated, the fastest time each week wins!

These challenges are only going to get more difficult as the weeks go by, so consider this your training regimen for the Master League. Good luck, have fun, warm up, and stay hydrated!

About This Game

The most popular game show in the universe is always scouting for stars...and its newest and brightest is YOU!

Hosted by everyone’s favorite robo-personality, Mr. Entertainment, Sprint Vector sends its intrepid contestants running, jumping, climbing, flinging, drifting, and even flying across crazy interdimensional race courses and challenge maps where your speed and finesse are put to the test. These intense head-to-head matches have become the must-see event of the millennium!

Sprint Vector is the ultimate competitive VR game: a multiplayer adrenaline platformer that merges the physical thrill of extreme sports competition with the unhinged energy of a zany game show spectacle. Survios’ innovative Fluid Locomotion System lets you comfortably attain and maintain extreme speeds in VR. Use your entire body to run, jump, drift, zip, climb, fling, shoot, dodge, and fly with intuitive motion controls! Add in a pulsing electronic soundtrack, hilarious running commentary, powerful projectiles and boosts, as well as multiplayer support for up to eight players, and you’ve got a hit show no matter what planet you’re on!

Step into the vector blades of an intergalactic star, rev up, and explode onto Sprint Vector’s colorful landscapes on a variety of races courses and challenge maps. Scale towering pyramids and plunge into alien ruins, leap across giant pits while dodging debilitating blobs of sludge, or survive the trap-riddled roads of an ancient city—but watch out for your fellow sprinters! It’s just one slow mine, nitro, or impulse jump between glory and defeat.

  • Competitive multiplayer matches: Public and private online multiplayer modes pit up to eight players against each other in intense, high-speed races as you vie for a spot on the Global Leaderboards.
  • 12 killer race tracks: 12 complex race courses full of obstacles, shortcuts, and game-changing power-ups make for endless replay value.
  • Nine challenge courses: Take on these diabolical courses designed to test your sprinting prowess to the extreme. Tackle three specific challenges across nine single-player challenge courses with Local and Global Leaderboards.
  • Customizable solo play: Run through courses and learn the ropes at your own pace with customizable solo game settings.
  • Weapons and Power-Ups: What’s a little friendly competition without a bit of self-serving sabotage? Take aim at both the course and your competitors with glove blasts and game-changing power-ups.
  • Eight intergalactic competitors: Choose from eight colorful characters “recruited” from every corner of the galaxy, from notorious Daxx to ethereal Luna to streetwise Hendrix, each with multiple skins.
