Redout Patch 1.4.2

A total of 37 changes from version 1.4.1 to version 1.4.2

  • Japanese and Korean localizations added!
  • Hypereal integration - Hypereal is a cool VR HMD, especially popular in China, and an amazing startup!

Simply put, Ansel enables you to make and capture your own unique and personally-framed screenshots via an easy-to-use user interface, on NVIDIA GeForce GTX enaled graphics cards. You get a semi-free roaming camera, HDR, Super Resolution, 360°, filters and much more!

At the moment it is not enabled by default, being an experimental feature. If you interested in trying it out anyway, check the instructions on the #announcements channel of the Redout discord:

We finally made our t-shirts and related merchandising! Not sure about you guys, but I am getting one right away:!

Our Discord community just reached 900+ active users! If you haven't, you should definitely check it out:!

  • Mars rocks are weird, they move around if you don't water them constantly. We forgot and some of them managed to get on a track piece. We moved them back to where they belong and built an automatic watering system, so it does not happen again.
  • Boost Pad Hitbox for the TOOBES was smaller than the other ones. We like them bigger for TOOBES.
  • Camera was making weird moves in Surface Sprint, Europa, during the boot sequence. Camera rebooted.
  • Some liveries were showing a dark tone darker than a black hole. Added light in black holes.
  • Fixed a crash when racing in splitscreen mode without the second player. Couldn't add friends, sorry.
  • Syncronized underwater sound with ship position in Mountain Road.
  • When the lobby is full, we do not display the message "Waiting for other players to join" anymore.
  • Final career pop up message appeared at Mars 5 races trophy if you owned the DLC and never appeared if didn't have it. Sorry guys.
  • Fixed typo in instagib description "whithout".
  • Fix ID tag for Azrael's Command (which refers to 17, but it should be 19).

  • Review Mariner Speed medals. They were impossible, we tried.
  • Some career goals were seriously out of balance, due to the last patches. Career should feel much better now.
  • One more bunny added to the game at this time.

Redout Patch 1.4.1

A total of 47 changes from version 1.4.0 to version 1.4.1

The complex is situated in the Arabia Terra continent and the Red Planet shines with its dusty deserts and weird rock formations. The low gravity (approximately 38% of Earth's) played a major role in experimenting verticality and driving on the exterior of the common racing tubes, bringing back a true classic of the arcade racing genre.

  • Frame-dependent Wall Damage and Slow down fixed. Everything is now slightly faster.
  • Patch 1.4.0 changed experience and money progression values to very low ones. Money is restored to the old scale, experience follows the new progression correctly now.
  • Some save game issues have been fixed (medals, best times, etc...).
  • Complete audio remix, part 2!
  • Soundtrack and Artbook updated!

Our Discord community just reached 800+ active users! If you haven't, you should definitely check it out:!

  • Lunare strafe power uber-boosted.
  • Koeniggswerth strafe power boosted.
  • Conqueror strafe power slightly boosted.
  • ESA strafe power boosted.
  • Conqueror engine power boosted.
  • Buran engine power boosted.

  • When the lobby is full, we do not display the message "Waiting for other players to join" anymore. Silly Godot.
  • The SRRL found evidence of corrupted officers in the management of the Debris Trophy event, who tried to steer the platinum trophies to their friends. They have been removed and platinum goal has been reset to the rightful amount.
  • Silverware Bonus Contract rewards were wrong. Time to polish it.

  • During online play, if the host shot EMP, it didn't affect clients. Now it does. Happy, Blu?
  • Various localization issues fixed. We can't spell english properly, apparentfdsuhiisudfyfdsly.
  • Europa had some really weird sound problems. Fixed, most probably.
  • Various splitscreen issues fixed. Go play with your friends!
  • Small UI fixes for boss mode online.
  • Checkpoint count was cut for values with more than two digits. And we fixed that ages ago. But maybe not.
  • One more bunny added to the game this time.
  • No new SRRL pilot added to the game, yet.

“Redout delivers excitement I haven’t felt since Nintendo released the last great F-Zero title over a decade ago. I don’t know if it’s the best racer I’ve ever played, but it’s almost certainly the most exhilarating, and earns its place among the very games it takes inspiration from.”

About This Game

Redout is a tribute to the old racing monsters such as F-Zero, WipeOut, Rollcage, and POD. It is designed to be an uncompromising, fast, tough and satisfying driving experience, soaked in that vertigo that stands at the core of the arcade racing genre. The floating system and driving models are based on physics: each turn, slope, hard braking, acceleration, each turn and twist of the track will apply a unique force to the ship. A sharp low-polygon style blends meshes and terrains with the latest state-of-the-art shading and lighting effects provided by the Unreal Engine 4, creating beautiful and instantly recognisable aesthetics. Breezy coastlines, eerie frozen landscapes, vast desert plains: the melancholic, dystopian atmosphere of a semi abandoned Earth is the background for the most high-speed, tense and beautiful futuristic racing clashes.

  • Online multiplayer - match against 12 players around the world for a real challenge
  • Optional VR Support - Oculus Rift, HTC Vive or OSVR. With a new shiny cockpit view!
  • Career mode - 100+ events to race, experience, level up and upgrade your ship
  • A Diverse World - 25 tracks scattered around 5 locations on a post-apocalyptic Earth, plus boss circuits
  • Never bored - 11 event types, from classic Race to innovative Arena Race and Score-Based Endurance
  • Create your story - 6 racing teams, each requiring a different driving approach, and 4 increasingly fast racing classes
  • Powerup - 10+ racing-focused, upgradable powerups: additional turbo, shields, self-repair drone, advanced grip system, slipstream enhancers, and more
  • Music for your ears - full 5.1 support and a dynamic soundtrack that will drop sicker and sicker beats the faster you go!

Redout is the fastest game ever made. If you can handle it. It's not about the numbers you see on screen, it's about the vibrations, the landscape and buildings flying by, the high-speed collisions, the effects, the sounds, the immersion: everything is meant to feel like you're going FAST.

Online Multiplayer

Challenge up to 12 players from all over the world and find out who's the best Redout pilot in history! Do you think you have got what it takes? Prove it. True glory is a flame lighted at the skies.

Dynamic Soundtrack

Prepare your ears for one of the most intense dynamic soundtracks you have ever heard. Redout enhances your experience and transcends visuals, immersing yourself in a mixture of sounds and music that adapts to your playstyle and your performance on the track.

Immersive VR

We have been working hard to give you the best VR game yet. Get inside your HMD to experience 3D and distances like never before, you'll know exactly where the apex is and feel a whole new level of control. VR support is optional.

Control is the most important feeling when you are racing at 800km/h. Redout features believable physics derived from quad-copters controllers and real magnetic forces. We came up with the next generation in AG handling. There's always a way to face a corner without braking, but you have to prepare for it and use everything you've got. Steer, strafe and turbo out of a corner are the basics: upgrades and powerups will grant you even more control on your ship's behaviour. You'll need to dominate your ship before you face the advanced tracks.

Thriving Discord Community

Whatever you are in for a casual multiplayer match or just for some chitchatting during a break, the official Discord server is there for you:! Join our community and get to know some of the people who helped shaping Redout's lore and ecosystem, on top of getting exclusive information about development and previews on what's happening inside the Redout Universe.

A Rich Context

AD 2560.
Earth stripped of its natural resources. Global warming caused the melting of the northern polar ice cap, tropical storms ravage all areas that didn’t suffer from desertification.
Pockets of humans are crawling their lives away in a few slums, descendants of those who were left behind or refused to leave. Others created huge conurbations, based upon some of the most populous cities once on Earth. Most of humanity, though, has moved on the Moon, Mars, Titan, and other Jupiter’s moons. Earth is often used as a location for entertainment events like hi-speed races, futuristic amusement parks and zoo parks, which allows local communities to work and profit in a harsh environment.
One of the most popular sports is the SRRL, or Solar Redout Racing League: the fastest racing league ever created, where humanity's best pilots drive high speed anti-gravity ships on magnetic tracks, risking their lives at each and every corner, in exchange for neverending glory.
