What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We think that the Early Access is a fantastic way to polish and improve our game. We believe that the community’s feedback will help us making the game better. Their opinion is very important to us.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We don't exactly know how long it will be in Early Access. However, we do know that we are very close to releasing the game with 8 levels completed as a starter.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is more like an extended demo. It has everything the full game has but only limited to a certain amount of levels until we work out the bugs and polish them off. The full game will have online multiplayer options which we are very interested in seeing how it works out for the players. The full game will also have unlocable achievements included.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently we are very close to finishing and releasing Mini Thief. We estimate a few months away from releasing the first 10 levels of the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may be slightly higher than we had before but not by much. We promised that we would keep the full game reasonably cheap which we are going to keep.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Obtaining community feedback is important to us because this is what creates the game to be fun for all the players.”

Update Alpha 1.10.3 (2/16/2017)

Hello Thieves!

We have pushed the new Online portion of Mini Thief to the default build due to the lack of Bug Reports (hopefully its a good sign). So all versions of the game should work with the Steamworks API networking. At the moment, there is only randomized matchmaking.

Have also fixed various bugs and addition a few things here and there. Check back for any updates on the list.

Alpha 1.10.3
-Fixed Pawn Door crash (Halloween Door)
-Fixed custom map crash when no maps available
-Fixed losing money if exiting through pause menu in tutorial
-Changed flashlight to on by default
-Changed online to use matchmaking, using Steamworks API (all branches)
-Added "Skip Dialogue" option to cutscenes (Esc/Start)
-Fixed issue where closed doors would not break NPC line of sight
-Removed "0" from the countdown timer
-Fixed bug when Music would not play when an NPC starts in the level
-Fixed bug in House Creator, decorations not saving
-Fixed security camera bug.
-Changed objects in House Creator to have a static depth to avoid layering issues. You can still edit depth by selecting the object and scrolling up and down.
