About the Game

The game allows the player to explore a beautifully realized universe rendered in a style that is both unique and compelling. Eufloria's aesthetics are reminiscent of children's books like "the little prince" and the gameplay is supported by an original ambient soundtrack by Brian Grainger.

Gameplay revolves around conquering asteroids in space and using their resources to literally grow and nurture new semi-organic plants and creatures to do the player's bidding.

The player is pitched again several teams of AI opponents that all vie for the same resources and can offer fierce opposition.

  • Intuitive and almost completely mouse-based interface
  • Integrated LUA Scripting allowing for enormous modding potential, to allow for additional user generated content

Eufloria is a simple, downtempo, casual RTS. I really enjoyed playing this game; it filled my lunch hours for a few weeks.

It's not a game of sophisticated strategy, but the gameplay was interesting enough to keep me coming back for more. The music and visuals are very plesant and mellow. Eufloria is a very relaxing, organic experience. I do recommend this game. Try the demo.

Part strategy, part ambient flower-garden-shoot-em-up-in-space, what's not to like with this delightful game? It can be played casually, with an eye to the meditative soundtrack and soothing colors; or as an abstract fighter, intent on destroying as much and many of your enemy as you can, aggressively colonizing and controlling space with no room for others but your pure strain.
I played it with the eye to how peaceful and lovely it is, while aware that there's a very sinister undercurrent to the story (yes, there's a little bit of story in this game); as such, I never did complete it, as the higher levels do require quite a bit of strategic development of your units and how you deploy them.
