Bu Oyun Hakkında

The Star Wars® Saga continues with Star Wars®: The Force Unleashed™ II, the highly anticipated sequel to the fastest-selling Star Wars game ever created. In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, the world was introduced to Darth Vader’s now fugitive apprentice, Starkiller—the unlikely hero who would ignite the flames of rebellion in a galaxy so desperately in need of a champion.

In the sequel, Starkiller returns with over-the-top Force powers and embarks on a journey to discover his own identity and to reunite with his one true love, Juno Eclipse. In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, Starkiller is once again the pawn of Darth Vader—but instead of training his protégé as a ruthless assassin, the dark lord is attempting to clone his former apprentice in an attempt to create the Ultimate Sith warrior. The chase is on – Starkiller is in pursuit of Juno and Darth Vader is hunting for Starkiller.

With all-new devastating Force powers and the ability to dual-wield lightsabers, Starkiller cuts a swath through deadly new enemies across exciting worlds from the Star Wars films - all in his desperate search for answers to his past.

Key features:
  • Continue the galaxy-altering journey of Starkiller, Darth Vader's fugitive apprentice, that shapes the key events between Star Wars: Episode III and Episode IV.
  • Unleash the Force with more power and precision through improved controls and new powers, such as the deceptive Mind Trick, which turns enemies against their allies.
  • Discover the true power of Starkiller with Force Fury, where his attacks and Force powers are exponentially increased.
  • Improved targeting system enhances precision use of Force powers and greater interaction with puzzles and the environment.
  • Take combat to the next level with the ability to wield dual lightsabers and punish enemies with all-new combo attacks.
  • Experience the most life-like interactions with Pixelux Entertainment's Digital Molecular Matter (DMM) coupled with euphoria from Natural Motion Ltd and the powerful Havok Physics system.
  • Expanded customization options such as new costumes and power-enhancing lightsaber crystals.
  • Fight through all-new challenge levels designed to test and hone your fighting and Force power skills.
  • Skillfully manage your combat techniques to defeat a variety of brand-new enemies, which will culminate in epic boss battles.
  • Immerse yourself once again in the story that was honored with awards from the Writer's Guild of America and the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences.

Had a lot of potential but needs some redesign and many more months of development to make it substantial enough. This was clearly no love project and just a hustle with valuable IP. Plays more like a tech demo than a full game.

Good:

- Force mechanics are much better than the first Force Unleashed
- Graphics are much better than the first Force Unleashed (still not great)
- Camera is much better than the first Force Unleashed (still not great)
- There is a reliable tool to patch the game and disable the annoying intro
- Also a good tool to unlock the fps limit

Bad:

- Cannot disable Quick Time Events
- Combat system is lackluster and mostly consists of button mashing - blocking and countering play little relevance
- Surprisingly glitchy and crashy - expected a little less of that - crashed more times than I can count and a lot more than Force Unleashed 1
- Camera still pretty bad
- Pathing/Platforming is unenjoyable, repetitive, tedious
- Cinematics are glitchy with artifacts/pixelation (with fps tweak)
- Screen tearing even with v-sync
- Annoying unskippable intro (without tweak tool)
- Locked to 30fps yet still manages to screen tear (without tweak tool)
- Crashes/freezes more frequently than one would like
- Campaign is very short (finished in 7.0 hours)

Bad Extra:

- The boss fight when you are fighting the missile ship is impossible when playing > 30fps as for some asinine reason the missile behavior is linked to the framerate - ya - it's messed up - in a way it's an avoidance cheat (they will never hit you) but it also make it impossible to deflect missiles

- This tram fight in noted above is extremely difficult unless you framerate is "just right" - 30 apparently resulted in the missiles arriving too slowly and the laser gatling gun always tore the tram apart before enough missiles could even hit the ship - ie impossible - 45-60fps makes it possible (or don't use the fps tweak tool)

Bad pc port: When you hit an enemy, looks like the frames lose stability.

TL;DR Think God of War Lite. Not deep; simple and fun. Buy it if it's on sale.

Having never played the first Force Unleashed I can't, of course, compare the two, which has its advantages and disadvantages. I think the biggest problem I ran into having missed the first installment was being thrust into the middle of a plot that desperately requires context. Playing all the way through allowed me to put together many of (what I presume to be) major plot points from the first game, but the lack of background for every character except Vader made the plot feel pretty shallow. At first I thought the two main characters promised to be pretty likeable throughout, the banter between Starkiller and the General being playful and enjoyable at least initially. I sort of expected a character like starkiller to fulfill a stereotype that would suit any 19 year old darksider of that name; gutteral voice, brooding angst, and a hood worn far too low over the face. I was pleasantly surprised to find starkiller's demeanor to be far more relateable and altogether human. A little over halfway through the game, after listening to the old Jedi and the young Jedi bicker like a married couple, each pouting and throwing fits at various intervals, their personalities began to grate on me. I found the most overall pleasant character to be the love interest and she was offscreen roughly 90% of the game. To be honest, though, our two protagonists were still much less flat and unlikeable than I expected so I can't be too harsh.

As far as gameplay is concerned it wasn't anything particularly unique. It felt like a hack n' slash with superpowers (think God of War but less interesting). I think all of your force powers are unlocked within the first quarter of the game which meant that you had plenty of time to master and upgrade the ones you wanted and ignore the ones you didn't but unfortunately there wasn't really enough of a selection to make combat really feel like your own. You are given virtually no variability as far as melee combos which is a little disappointing since I occasionally like to feel like I'm doing more than just mashing the attack button until a finishing move happens. The game tries to present the player with some customization with the unlockable saber crystals but honestly once I locked in the ones that gave me more force points I didn't even bother anymore. I will readily acknowledge the pleasure in using force powers to mow down scores of Stormtroopers, turn lightsaber wielding baddies against their friends, and redirect projectiles at whatever other enemy the arbitrary targeting system for force throw decides go for (which is another gripe I have). The inclusion of quicktime events as all but mandatory is frustrating. Getting to watch our hero dismember robots in spectacular ways is very, very cool; I found my mouth slightly agape the first time I watched Starkiller detonate the hulking fire droid. Watching our hero do the same exact thing dozens of times because it is the quickest way to finish off those enemies, however, turns into a chore pretty quickly. The length of the game (for me) was about 6 hours which felt brief given the lack of replayability in the design, but I do think the game knew when to quit since the gameplay hadn't gotten the chance to become intolerably stale before I hit the ending sequence. The game did not know, however, how to challenge the player once a grasp has been gotten on how to use the OP Jedi. I never really felt more than marginally challenged by the game and the platforming section near the end of the game posed more difficulty than the actual final faceoff (which was a joke of a fight), and that's funny given how admittedly bad I am at video games. The ease of play mixed with some of the semi-interactive non-combat sequences of force feats manage to really make the player feel the power of the force that is dwelling within Starkiller, and it's always fun to feel like a superhero, but those looking for a challenge will find themselves crawling back to Dark Souls so they can feel human (or hollow) again.

All in all I had a very good time playing the game. I never really felt bored, though I never felt very challenged either. The game feels like it was built for youngsters that are a fan of the series rather than seasoned gamers that are looking for something deep or immersive. If you are a fan of Star Wars or a fan of hack and slash gameplay with a throw-away plot then I would recommend you buy it, just not for full price.

If you absolutely feel the need to slice ♥♥♥♥ up with a lightsaber, and if this game is on sale, buy it. If not, however, then don't. The game has (I think) 5 different planet zones with a few bland levels in between them, the most interesting one being Kamino at the very start of the game. Completely uninteresting game that doesnt even make a poor attempt at being canon friendly, with saber-sponge boss enemies and a short, unappealing story I beat in around 4.5 hours.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is the second instalment in the series. Being developed by Aspyr Media and published by Lucas Arts, taking place between the 3rd and 4th episodes of Star Wars. The game was released in October 2010 on PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Nintendo DS and the Wii.

The game continues the story of you playing Starkiller, a student of Darth Vadar. The gameplay is very much the same as the first game, but we have some new additions to his force abilities, such as Mind Tricks, allowing you to mind control enemies to either fleeing the fight or fighting on your side. The second new element is the ability to use Force Fury; which is basically you enraged form that allows you to go crazy with lighting fast light sabre hits, fancy flips and electric force shots and all sorts of craziness. The overall gameplay is essentially the same as the first game, though. Enemy fights throughout the level are very samey throughout your play through; with a few new enemies being added in which require a “rock paper scissors” way of thinking so only one of your abilities beat them, whilst the rest of virtually no damage. The boss fights in Unleashed II are a bit of a let down apart from the final scenes. Quick time events play a prominent part in any boss fight which is something I absolutely detest most of the time. It felt very cheap and showed a lack of innovation to force a key boss fight to be resolved by simply using quick time events. The only boss fight throughout the game that was anything at all compelling is the final fight with Darth Vader which is rather memorable in my opinion of being one of the better boss fights from the series so far.

The graphics are sadly very drab too; the low-quality textures and poor quality models ruin the game’s aesthetic. The game does have a few redeeming factors in that the special effects from lightning and the light sabres do look really good, though. The voice acting from the main characters just feel a little bit off; I couldn’t quite put my finger on what was different but it just felt very poorly executed in the final cut. Darth Vadar and Yoda have the best voice acting throughout but the main character, Starkiller just sounds so monotone that you’d find it a challenge to stay awake listening to him for any extended amount of time.

Difficulty wise, Unleashed II is easier than the first game; there are no challenging fights or platforming scenes, you can ramp up the difficulty at the start of the play through but the lack of being able to change this on the fly once you have started is disappointing. Like I said, boss fights usually conclude in quick time events and regular enemy fights are nothing other than a time filler as they offer no challenge what-so-ever. I finished the game in just under four hours; which is similar to the time it took me to finish the first game, so there has been no improvement made on the amount of content on offer. This was another huge disappointment for me as the story really could be explained and drawn out a little longer for the benefit of the player. You may be able to squeeze a second play throughout of this game but only if you didn’t finish the game the first time round on hard mode. There is a selection of collectables to find throughout the story mode which allows you to customize your light sabres colours but there isn’t really anything else other than that available.

The game is also riddled with technical problems. The main one being the frame rate is capped at 30. This is an absolute disgrace even though it was six years ago – don’t cap frame rates. Secondly is the huge amount of graphically tearing and no options are available for v-sync to fix it. I also had a number of crashes to desktop during my time playing too; these come just before you reach a save point on a level too which leaves you with the annoyance of having to replay the last checkpoint of the previous stage too. It’s also worth mentioning that I played the game completely using my 360 controllers, the mouse, and keyboard support is lacking so I wouldn’t even suggest trying them.

Sadly Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is a poor excuse for the second instalment in this series. The first game is a country mile better and being a fan of Star Wars I was hugely disappointed with the overall production values on offer here as well as an extremely short experience. The technical problems and repetitive nature of the gameplay does the game no favours either. This game is nowhere near worth the price of £14.99 and it should not be recommended for anyone but hardcore fans of Star Wars, and even then it is with a huge caution.

Tom's Score Card

2) Not Recommended
3) Only recommended when on sale

5) Highly recommended
6) This is a must play

+Ara animasyon kaliteleri tatmin edici

-Quick time event'ler sinir bozabiliyorlar

10/6.9,10/7,2
