A three part visual novel set in the far future on the moon, 16 years after humans have begun to colonize it. A young boy named Haru has been chasing his wildest dream. His dream is to stand where no man has stood before, and in order to do so he needs capital, a ludicrous amount of capital. What better place to get that amount of capital by using the stock market? There are two key rules that govern the stock market.

  • The first rule: Never take a loss.
  • The second rule: Never forget the first.

Only those who follow these rules are able to obtain enormous wealth...

This is probably the best Visual Novel (VN) on Steam, it's about a really good storyline, not kawaii and moe things, also it has very nice calming soundtrack that helps concentrate reading it. It's about a guy who is very good at stock trades, who lives in more future time than we, when humanity achieved fully reaching the Moon and even made city there that uses Solar power with Solar Panels to maintain itself, and it located inside a dome where even rain is simulated, so there lives our protagonist.

This VN is written by Isuna Hasekura the writer of Spice & Wolf series, there is even anime and manga of it besides more than 11 books. Because of this you can see World End Economica is written more professionally than other VNs, she describes small details very well, engages different moments with explanations of secondary things that gives a more deep feel to the story, characters and the surrounding world of the City in the Moon, I also really like the characters personality, the Moon and their citizens and different places there are described in multiple details making you feel more the world of the story.

I totally recommend getting World End Economica, if you like VNs with good more serious stories where even the anime style is a secondary thing, anime style is nice it gives characters their personality and look, but it doesn't really affect the actual story, so even if you are not into anime you would probably still like it, Isuna Hasekura is a really good writer, she won't disappoint you.

Well that..... was a interesting VN to read.

  • Beginning is slow (almost fell asleep a few times) but it pays off towards the end.
  • Big emphasis on economics and the stock market (felt like having an Economics 101 crash course).
  • Characters are interesting enough to keep the reader interested.
  • Was not expecting that type of ending.
  • The music is relaxing and nice to listen to.

  • A few written mistakes here and there but it is no big deal.
  • Could of used a bit more background art in some scenes.

This will probably make me wanna watch or read Spice and Wolf.

Amazing kinetic VN! Storyline was really good, full of details; characters had their own personalities (MC ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me off a bit but it’s ok, that’s their personality. It was nicely written, it’s not that the character isn’t good — they can be quite annoying when they want, just that. And to be honest, I also disliked their weird thoughts/behavior towards Hagana at the beginning of the game). This is one of the best VNs on Steam, without a doubt.

The art style was good, BG was nicely done, BGM was awesome as well. The only little complaint that I have is that sometimes during the narration, the BG/sprites are not there… It’s a black screen. I don’t know if that was the author’s intention, but I thought that kinda “broke” the climax during certain parts. Despite that, it’s a wonderful work totally worth paying the full price since it’s quite of a long story for a kinetic VN. I can’t wait to play the next chapters!

8/10, because like I said, MC annoyed me. But well, it’s worth checking this VN if you wish to read a more complex story. The ending might ♥♥♥♥ you off tho, since it was quite different…

I wouldn't have thought a drama about stock trading could be anything but dull, but I'm glad to say my expectations were greatly exceeded. Despite all the exposition about how stock trading works and a cast of mostly unlikable characters (who do have redeeming backstories and show development toward the end), I found myself getting invested (if you'll pardon the pun) in this lengthy tale of a pair of runaways trying to play the market and strike it rich in a beautiful domed city on the moon. Those who pay attention to the details will need to excuse the occasional unintentional retcon as the author misremembers what he had previously established, but apart from that, the writing and art are both excellent. I'm looking forward to parts 2 and 3.

I recommend this novel, because I enjoyed it. May not be for everyone, but I enjoyed the previous series of Spice and Wolf and I enjoyed this novel as well.

I got it when it was on sale at half price in a holiday sale, so there is that. Good value for the price I paid.
