Among the Sleep is an indie horror game that was originally released as a demo way back in 2012 or so,and then got an official release on Steam in 2014(this version).
I tried it out since it looked really cool after seeing a lot of other people play it,and I can say I will never regret playing it :)
The plot: You play as a 2 year old toddler, with a teddy bear as a birthday present(and as a light source in the game). You have to go around finding these items called"memories",uncovering the truth about your mother in the process.
The gameplay is really interesting because instead of taking the POV of a normal horror protagonist(say,an adult or teen),but actually takes place in the POV of a 2 year old toddler.
You get a teddy bear as flashlight in the game, which helps with some low-light sections throughout.
The characters are pretty good, the mother especially because of the creepy things you find out about her(just what tho I won't spoil)
The voice acting is well done as well.
The horror aspects of the game are VERY well done, and managed to scare me more than once(keeping in mind I tend to be brave when playing horror games).
The game is kind of buggy, but that hardly takes away from the value of the game.
The game doesn't take too long to complete on your first playthrough(it should take you 2-4 hours or so on average),but everything that's good about the game makes up for that for the most part.
9.5/10 from me :)
