A great little game. It's very short, but has additional content and replayability (for speed and/or points). Nice controls and interesting bosses with multiple stages.

I have beaten the game twice at roughly an hour each playtrhough and I highly reccomend it. For the small price it's worth it. It's quite fun, and you can unlock more characters (I think 2? ) that play slightly differently.

I just love everything about this game, graphics are beautiful, the soundtrack has some really nice themes and the mouse-based gameplay is awesome. The story is basic but the characters alone are likable and add a lot to the fun.

Only bad point is the length, even with the other characters and secrets to find you can see it all quite fast.

Very Fun but very very short game. I would not pay too much for it just because it is one of the shortest games I have played an a long time. Old school vide, good music. No controller support that I am aware of and since I am a key board masher it killed my hands..but it was short so it didn't kill them too bad.

First off, this is a very accessible game and is a blast to play. You just click to attack and dash/jump/kick. The environments and enemies are well-designed. The boss battles are the highlight of the game, but they can be a pain.

Like all good boss battles, there are certain patterns that you need to figure out rather than just button-mashing. However, the game actually punishes you for not getting it right away. You could be doing well in the level, fail to figure out the boss pattern quick enough, die, and if you "continue" in any way, it reloads from the nearest checkpoint, rendering it nearly impossible to avoid a "D" grade. While it makes sense for the score to reset after death, there should also be the option to restart a level from the beginning for players to "redeem themselves" in that particular level. You could just do a second playthrough, but the sole incentive of beating high scores isn't enough motivation imo to play through this game more than once. Might be different if this game had achievements however.

Apart from this minor complaint, there is little else wrong with the game. I would recommend it for everything it does well -- the fun of beating things up, the music, graphics, and the barely comprehensible but awesome sounding story. If you enjoyed the demo, then you wouldn't be doing yourself a disservice to buy this game.

This game is so fun! you move with the keyboard and you fight with the mouse...using what are essentially motion controls that use the directional input from the mouse tracking. LMB attacks, RMB puts up a shield; but there are other attacks that become much more intuitive as you play. Definitely the kind of game you'd want to spend a good chunk time with in one session. I haven't beaten it yet, though I have the feeling that it's rather short- as, on the easy level, you kick so much ♥♥♥. I'll pick up the first when it's on sale- but only because NL2: D is that kind of game that feels like a labor of love, takes advantage of modern control input in a way that is challenging and fun, and is so damn cute whilst maintaining that intense, retro, NES-hard gameplay.

For 5 bucks, the develoepers deserve it.

But, get it on sale if you want an awesome game for when you don't have a controller handy.

Fun pixel metroidvania sidescroller. Original control scheme that requires a mouse and keyboard. A little disorientating at first but a very polished and pretty looking pixel game.

It's with great regret that I must give this title two thumbs down, way down. It's a kid's game for sure. But no more. Controls are way too simple. MouseClick + point + wasd to move. And the game is just too easy. At the asking price, it's too high unless the difficulty is set higher. Bosses are just not complex enough to give a good rating. 2/10 for beat in a half an hour.

I recommend this obscure gem that goes unnoticed by many people. Very fun and with a great replay factor, this unique game has beautiful visuals and great music in 16-bit style.

If ever there were a love letter written to 1990's era Treasure, Noitu Love 2 is it. Frantic, fast, furious, and fun. It can take a bit to come to grips with the unique control scheme, but once you've spent some time in the tutorial and gotten mastery of a few stages under your belt, you'll be up to speed and zip around the screen causing all manners of chaos.

The game features an incredible amount of variety packed into its arcade length. There's no shortage of stage gimmicks and unique fodder enemies to pound away on, and how could you forget the positively over-the-top boss encounters, which will push your dexterity to the limit and require a good bit of thought to truly best.

Noitu Love's difficulty is also balanced very well. Each of the game's difficulties suits a range of player skill levels, and advancing to a higher difficulty level doesn't only make enemies hit harder, they also have a few new tricks up their sleeve which keep things fresh and interesting. It's far from punishing like a lot of 2D platformers and action games these days tend to be, but you will be tested and failure only leads to more learning.

Add a couple unlockable playable characters with some fun stage variations between them on top and you've got an amazingly solid little package just eager for lovers of frantic old-school games to take hold of and enjoy.

The most clever and brilliant indie game I have ever played and also one of the most original games I've ever played. When I first saw this it looked like a gunstar heroes ripoff but I was dead wrong. This game is so worth your money.

Do you like Mischief Makers? Do you like Gunstar Heroes? Do you like Alien Soldier? Do you happen to enjoy highly-rasterized cult classics with fast movement and faster combat (Treasure games)? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, then pick up Noitu Love 2. Each one of your punches and kicks resonates with that distinctive crunch and pop that calls pixel art games home, while an unrelenting lo-fi keyboard soundtrack and and screen-filling explosions whenever anything blows up (there's hardly a moment where something isn't blowing up) seal the aesthetic deal. It's very satisfying when all's said and done. Good game for speedrunning if you're into that, too, since the entire game is built on that very concept.

Awesome, intense 16-bit-esque platformer. And it comes with a pretty original mouse-oriented control scheme too; style reminds me of those Treasure games on the Mega Drive.

Most amazing 12MB on the internet!

Seriously, If you like fast paced 2D action games, you will adore this game. Controls are quite innovative - they take advantage of mouse & keyboard setup and create a beat'em-up game that works suprisingly well. Bosses in this game show up at killer rate and each one of them is pretty imaginative and fun to fight. Graphics are also solid. 16-bit feel is present here.

There are only two hickups. Firstly, one level forces you to use unique weapon and game is not that good in explaining how it exacly works. This can lead to few deaths before you eventually get that devs wanted you to do. Secondly, title is little on the short side, but fortunetly unlockable playable characters make up for it.

If you are looking for Hidden Indie Gem on Steam, this is it! Noitu Love 2 is a awesome game, worth your time and money.
