A century after the legendary boy Noitu Love saved the world from the evil Darns, they rise again, but in a chaos of time-bending mayhem! Now it's up to the new hero of the Peacekeepers, Xoda Rap, to save the world.



Fight the massive hordes of the Darns as Xoda Rap in this time-bending retro arcade adventure, a main category finalist at IGF 2008. Noitu Love 2 Devolution makes original use of mouse input to further streamline the flow of classic gameplay. Fight your way through seven different stages and unlock more, different ways to play them again. Every stage features new tactics and several boss battles. The game is made to appeal to old fans and also new players in the genre as it offers challenges for all levels.

某壕在roll一个游戏,画面让我想起了这个游戏,所以来写个评测。
发行时间steam上是2012年4月23日但其真正的发行时间还要早上4年,即2008年
尤记得08年的独立游戏节出现一片黑马:
Crayon Physics Deluxe 蜡笔物理学
Hammerfall (后改名 Hammerfight铁锤大战
World of Goo 黏黏世界
Fez 菲斯
Audiosurf 音乐战机(好友里面老是有大触晒战绩,我是玩不来了)

更早的优秀独立游戏还有:
Aquaria 安琪拉之歌(这游戏作者只有俩人,之后解散了,后来其中一人做了 Spelunky ,嗯,就是包神一直用着大又硬的红字在STCN宣传的那个游戏。)(游戏本身无论故事还是音乐都是非常优秀,可惜对故事背景作补充的续作遥遥无期。3DM出动人马给配音汉化,质量尚算不错,有兴趣的可以去 一边听着不死鸟6年前的声音一边 玩一下)
Eets 伊特(不得不佩服Klei Entertainment,从 Eets 开始 Shank 、 Mark of the Ninja 到最近的 Don't Starve 、 Invisible, Inc. 每一作都是精彩优秀的作品,那些大厂你地吔屎啦)
至于后来登场的优秀独立游戏大家都耳熟能详如时空幻境像素垃圾肉男闪客地狱边境尘埃克星等就不一一细说了。
上面提及的所有游戏都登陆了steam,也是进包常客。
这个评测写着写着觉得有必要安利一下上面的那些游戏。

好了说回这个游戏,经典的横板游戏,打打怪到关卡末打boss。似乎略显平常,但是能得奖的游戏自有其独树一帜的地方。
其战斗方式非常独特,一个鼠标就能做出非常多的攻击方式(当然不熟练也可以wsad+鼠标),初始主角可以用右键拖动屏幕达到双击方向键同样效果的攻击方式。封面上的4个人物有3个可以玩(可能第四位也可以吧我没解锁出来),每个人物的操作方式大相径庭,男性那位尤其可以用鼠标拖动至屏幕任一角落。
boss战斗自然少不了带点解谜要素。
音乐非常动感,配合快节奏的游戏方式恰到好处。
有些许隐藏彩蛋,同时也有一些隐藏boss,因为有怪物图鉴,所以我这个强迫症对找隐藏要素解锁全图鉴非常不能自已lol。

作者从 去年 前年开始就没有了精神续作 The Iconoclasts 的消息,据说经济出现问题,不禁让人唏嘘。

I just love everything about this game, graphics are beautiful, the soundtrack has some really nice themes and the mouse-based gameplay is awesome. The story is basic but the characters alone are likable and add a lot to the fun.

Only bad point is the length, even with the other characters and secrets to find you can see it all quite fast.

Very Fun but very very short game. I would not pay too much for it just because it is one of the shortest games I have played an a long time. Old school vide, good music. No controller support that I am aware of and since I am a key board masher it killed my hands..but it was short so it didn't kill them too bad.

First off, this is a very accessible game and is a blast to play. You just click to attack and dash/jump/kick. The environments and enemies are well-designed. The boss battles are the highlight of the game, but they can be a pain.

Like all good boss battles, there are certain patterns that you need to figure out rather than just button-mashing. However, the game actually punishes you for not getting it right away. You could be doing well in the level, fail to figure out the boss pattern quick enough, die, and if you "continue" in any way, it reloads from the nearest checkpoint, rendering it nearly impossible to avoid a "D" grade. While it makes sense for the score to reset after death, there should also be the option to restart a level from the beginning for players to "redeem themselves" in that particular level. You could just do a second playthrough, but the sole incentive of beating high scores isn't enough motivation imo to play through this game more than once. Might be different if this game had achievements however.

Apart from this minor complaint, there is little else wrong with the game. I would recommend it for everything it does well -- the fun of beating things up, the music, graphics, and the barely comprehensible but awesome sounding story. If you enjoyed the demo, then you wouldn't be doing yourself a disservice to buy this game.
