700 years before the events of Ys I & II, the land of Ys was on the brink of destruction. Demons came in droves and forced the twin Goddesses who ruled the land to whisk their subjects away from the surface, into the safe embrace of the clouds. The demons were persistent, however, erecting a massive tower in pursuit. The battle that raged upon the ground had begun ascending for a second round up above.

One day, amidst this turmoil, the Goddesses stole away into the night, vanishing from Ys altogether. And there's only one place they could have gone: the Devil's Tower.

A search party of knights and sorcerers was hastily formed and dispatched to the surface in hopes of retrieving these runaway deities. Among its members were apprentice knight Yunica Tovah and troubled sorcerer Hugo Fact.

This is their story. Or at least, it's how each of them remembers it.

Expanding upon the gameplay elements introduced in Ys: The Ark of Napishtim and further developed in Ys: The Oath in Felghana, Ys Origin perfects the formula by adding different styles of play and new features never before seen in the Ys universe. I always enjoy games that utilize the "Custom main character" format properly, Ys Origins is a hack-and-slash, Boss fighter adventure game.

The keyboard controls could have used a little more work (Namely a more reliable way to properly utilize the dash attack, A mouse is not a correct solution to this problem), Although it's not that difficult to get used to them once you've experimented for a while. Overall it's nothing overly complicated, And is basic enough to understand.

The main things I loved about this game wasn't the fact you can play as multiple characters, But rather that elements of the story will change based on who you've selected. The overall plot stays the same, However enough change is made to have one game tell three different stories.

A prequel to the Ys games that were released before this using the same engine used in "The Oath in Felghana" and "The Ark of Napishtim". I've never played any of the other games but supposedly this has loads of references to the previous titles such as some bosses and the items you get.

The game can be played with a keyboard & mouse, just a keyboard, and with a controller. All three options are very playable with the controller's only noticeable advantage is the ability to move with the d-pad and the analog stick for more precise movement. All of the how-to-play stuff is set to the keyboard's default bindings though. If you're going to use a controller you always have to make sure the controller's plugged in before the game's started up and if it becomes unplugged during then the only response you can make would be on the keyboard/mouse.
For some reason the game won't allow me to assign anything to the trigger buttons. Not sure if that's just on my end.

The game starts you off with the choice of two characters, a fast melee character, Yunica, and a slower moving rapid fire magic user, Hugo. There's a third character you can unlock after beating the game with any character in any difficulty. The difficulties you can start with are Very Easy, Easy, Normal, Hard, and Nightmare with Nightmare being an absolutely huge step up in difficulty especially against the bosses. The bosses in Nightmare mode attack faster, have attacks that cover more ground, and hit harder to the point that it becomes absolutely necessary to really try and learn how to avoid and attack at the best times.
Playing as either of the two starting characters are actually just supposed to give you a better idea on the story of Ys as the third character's story is the canonical one that pretty much begins the rest of the Ys games. The game's a little harder with Yunica since the later enemies practically start to become anti-melee but she's a lot more fun to use with her hack-and-slash attacks. Hugo however is a little easier to play with for the entirety of the game since he's got range on his side but he moves a little slower and his normal attack is a button masher. The third character is melee based and extremely fast overall but some of his attacks may make some bosses a little more difficult if not just different.
While the the entire setting & pacing of the game are practically the same, each character's story is a little different from one another; they'll fight most of the same bosses, go through most of the same areas, and find most of the same types of items so if you replay the game with a different character you'll usually at least get a better idea on what to do against what.

It's a fast, real-time game that's really more a hack-and-slash ARPG than it is a traditional JRPG. It's a lot more reliant with skill (at least with bosses on the higher difficulties) and the stats & armor in this game are really just for setting you up to be on par in numbers with future enemies & bosses so you can do the intended or slightly better amount of damage against them. If your level's too high than it should be at the current location then the amount of EXP you get from the enemies there becomes drastically slower.

I'm finding that some of the hitboxes are very questionable. During plenty of critical moments with some enemies' attacks, namely some bosses, I've noticed my character getting hit at locations visually far from that attack itself. There are also some attacks that even after they look like their animation's over you can still take damage anyway if you immediately get to within their range. It's bad enough that these problems are even a thing that would result in a few oddly slight changes in strategy but at the higher difficulties getting hit even a few times means faster trouble for the player.

The entire game takes place in a tower and as with tower settings go part of the main plot is just to go up, meaning that the game's pretty linear. There's a type of currency in the game that enemies drop in the form of "SP" that's supposed to be used to buy upgrades for yourself and your armor. These upgrades barely make any difference if they're even noticeable. There aren't really any "secret" locations and all of the actually-optional items you can find are just extra SP which there aren't even much of. SP in Nightmare mode is practically non-existant as they only give you enough to get the small-time upgrades unless you grind for them which would take even longer.
You can teleport to any floor that has a save spot in them using an item you get right when you start the game though there's not much of a reason for doing that aside from story progressing parts and instantly getting out of a tight situation during combat.

Everyone eventually gets three total skills/magic that use up rechargeable MP with each skill having their practical use outside and during fights, some becoming more forgotten than others until absolutely necessary for plot progression and sometimes boss weaknesses.
All skills/magic are upgradeable by finding easy-to-find gems that are in treasure chests. After at least one gem's been found for a particular skill/magic then that skill becomes chargeable when the button to use it is held for a tougher and usually more ranged attack. From my experience, when trying to hold it as you play about normally though sometimes the skill will be used even if the held button's still held and I've tested it a bit but I'm still not sure if that's just from a faulty keyboard & controller or something in the game triggers it & I haven't noticed what, but seeing as how I used a controller and it's pretty new I'm urged to point the finger at the game. After using a skill and immediately pressing to hold the button to charge the skill up again you'll sometimes use the skill instead of charging it first which just becomes a waste of the moment's MP. I'd be fine with this if it was intended to tell me to not go frantic with button pressing but sometimes even if I hold a button for a skill that can be used in quick successions the uncharged skill will keep being activated quickly until it finally registers that I'm holding to charge. Again I'm not sure if that's on my end or the game's.

The replayability mainly relies on the few different stories you can experience as well as some unlockables such as a boss rush & arena mode, a slightly upgraded version of each character, and the original protagonist of the series that you can unlock who's only available to use in boss rush & arena.
In case you decide to go through the game with the same character again you can't fully skip the dialogue. You can skip the cutscenes but the best you can do with the dialogue is hold a button to fast-forward it somewhat.
It's a pretty great game with great music and great story.

This game has everything a ARPG gamer loves. You can play with mouse and keyboard, just keyboard or a gamepad either works well. The aesthetics are awesome and the music is just epic. Im playing it on hard difficulty and the game does provides a challenge. I died around 10 times on the first MID BOSS. The boss fights are awesome.

Pretty much its like 2D Dark Souls on harder difficulties though the usual grunts are not so challenging as the bosses.

This is a really good game. i could rant on about it for hours but i feel like id miss something important and wouldnt make the impact i would have hoped for, so id like to keep it short and sweet.
this is simply one of the best JRPGs ive ever played.

This is the 1st YS series I've completed thus far. Game run smoothly except a black screen issue with Window 10 during the cut scene that can be resolved easily.

YS: Origin is fun and addictive action JRPG with great storyline that does not requires extensive grinding which usually discourage me from continuing a game. Very value added as you get to play as 3 different characters in each story mode to understand what truely happens in the game.

Boss fight is challenging and if you can't beat it, leveling up 1~2 levels actually makes the difficulty much more easier. It's exceptionally good for players who simply wants to enjoy beating the game without getting stuck in a stage.

Another great YS game, have good storyline. As usual, fast pace action with challenging bosses. Also beautiful artwork. The idea to tell the story with different character point of view is a plus for replayability.

Even though the minus is the storyline is to linear, almost no sidequest and/or missable item. Also the control for one of the character is really hard.

很久以后我才能理解,《永远的伊苏》中永远二字究竟代表了什么

不同人喜欢上伊苏有着不同的理由,而让我真正喜欢上伊苏的理由,便是她的名字。《YS1&2 Eternal》正版包装盒上,莉莉娅在逗着璐玩,帅气的亚特鲁靠在一旁看着她,上面大大的五个汉字,永远的伊苏。伊苏是什么?是大魔王的名字吗?还是一位国王?为什么要说它是永远的?长生不老吗?一种莫名的感动与情愫在我的心中生根发芽。

拿到psp,控制着亚特鲁,小心翼翼地踏上梅多海南边的阿鲁塔格大陆。在游玩伊苏7的过程中,我一直在思考,伊苏这个词语,究竟是指什么?那里猜测道,可能是指冒险日记吧,或者是指冒险本身,也许伊苏就是西班牙语(笑)里面冒险的音译。

我玩伊苏的顺序,7F612O。玩1和2的时候已经是高考完的那个暑假,之前早已不知道疯玩过多少游戏。当游戏通关,看见亚特鲁说出菲娜二字的时候,我在想,就这样啊,没了吗?为了赶时间,我是看攻略一天通关的。伊苏指的是一个古国,而不是指冒险,永远的伊苏则是指伊苏在1998年的复刻版本,并不是我想的那样。

永远的伊苏,ys eternal,并没有太多的含义,却被人为赋予了太多内涵,冒险,拼搏,坚持,永不言弃,从小在脑海里为能配的上这个名字的游戏构建了太多幼稚的蓝图,今日付之一炬。它还是它,没有任何变化,而我却渐渐长大。

看过海贼王的都知道,路飞的第一艘船,黄金梅丽号,英文原名going merry,而不是golden merry,但是每家字幕组却不约而同地默认了这个错误,并把这个音译给传承了下去,一个美妙的误会,成就了这艘伟大的帆船。至于为什么ys eternal要翻译成永远的伊苏,而不是永恒的伊苏,或者是伊苏永恒版,可能是译者随性而为,可能是考虑到平仄声,也可能是把对游戏的理解给体现了上去,我们都不必去深究。或许有一天,当亚特鲁的冒险之旅走向了终点,当falcom不再推出伊苏的续作,永远的伊苏这五个字所带给我们的意义,在那一刻,将会超越它所表达的本身...

falcom旗下两大神作系列之一的伊苏。伊苏起源,是我感觉从YS1&2之后伊苏最高峰的杰作之一。
舞台再次回到了一切开始的伊苏古国,再加上人气高涨的双子女神,注定成为一个极具关注度的游戏。

游戏引擎还是falcom所谓看家万年不变的2D引擎,(闪轨之后终于换3D了),虽然是2D引擎,但是在建模细节上很好的体现了日本人的精细作风风格。可以做细微模糊的动作中感受人物的心理,情感,当然这其中也有出色的falcom立绘功底。其实说道这里,很多都不需要过多的介绍了,在天朝比我熟悉falcom的人一样是非常多的。falcom的伊苏和英雄传说系列足足影响了整个日式RPG爱好者的几代人。

爽快的战斗方式,有趣的迷宫设定,感人肺腑的剧情演出,配合上不同的场景和不同的音乐搭配演绎,时燃时泪。完全的日式风格~没有任何理由拒绝这个游戏。

推荐如果还没玩过这个的,喜欢日式RPG的话,一定推荐玩!

后话:可惜伊苏起源之后,该系列又再次陷入了低潮中,而falcom的重心,也逐渐转移到专注一个更具有广泛影响和人气的的英雄传说-轨迹系列中了。作为ARPG的伊苏,何时才能更加绽放光辉呢.....还有就是,有生之年,希望看到轨迹结局!!

YSO,伊苏起源是我玩过的YS系列中最喜欢的一部。三个主角(不算红毛),每个人都有独特的能力,剧情也各有特色。只有玩过钩爪男才能看到真正的里剧情。
战斗系统上算是非常典型的ARPG,相比于YS6和YSF来说,难度相对低一些,更适合手残党。三主角能力不同也增加了战斗的趣味性。相比于YS7来说在战斗上又更有挑战性(当然花样是不如YS7多)。
在剧情上为避免剧透也不多说,总之一定要三个主角全部通关。
之前玩过盗版,现在移植到steam又有了成就系统,有条件的话一定要买买买。现在又增加了卡片,你还在犹豫什么?买买买!

虽然打了60个小时 离全成就还远着呢(伊苏系列的全成就真的不是给一般人玩的,伊苏提倡的就是易于上手但是又不缺乏挑战)
但是还是想过来说一下这个游戏

说到法老控的当家游戏不得不提到 伊苏系列 跟 轨迹系列

作为JRPG中经典到不能再经典 拥有庞大的世界观的 简单的操作 经典到让人一听就忘却不来的音乐

起源也是第一部不是已 红头色魔 作为主角的一部

虽然时隔至今已经很久远了 但是至今玩起来也会感慨伊苏系列是有多么的不可战胜

3个主角,5个难度,2条不一样的主线故事,各种各样的隐藏模式

以前买过大陆代理的盒装叫做永远的伊苏,游戏进化到这代已经画面变化了好多,但是游戏的精髓却依然保留,日式ARPG顶峰的作品之一。值得购买。

在下以前盗版全人物通过关。。这回直接一周目nightmare打的自己要哭【
个人感觉起源某种意义上是伊苏系列甚至是ARPG的极致,完全线性的剧情和迷宫,没有复杂的支线任务,有的只是三个主线,用不同的人物打三遍相同的迷宫,在每次流程中重复迷宫→boss→迷宫的循环。
怎么说呢,去掉了细枝末节的内容,游戏体验反而非常好,"it's anything but boring"这种感觉。
回想起了当年在旧电脑上开最低特效还是只有十多帧,有时候还会跳出,那时候的我是怀着怎样的心情一路打到通关的呢?
反正也不缺详细的好评,就趁着今天通宵随便写这点了。
想买的话就买吧,现在这个世界上没多少比这个更值的游戏了。
