I'll get straight to the point:

The story is AMAZING! A very complex and well written one that makes you want to know every detail and spend a lot of time to pull things together to find the truth behing the dark side of sherlock holmes himself.

The Puzzles are fantastic! They will challenge your logic and test you IQ! :P

The only problem lies in the gameplay. or better say, in the controls which is a little annoying but you'll get used to it as you progress through the game.

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes is A unique game in the adventure genre and if you are a fan of this famous detective, then you should try it for SURE.

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes. What is there to say that hasen't already been said? It's a master piece. A master piece whit one of the best stories in recent video games. I bought it on sale, for about 4,99. It's worth even spending 19,99 on it. Fantastic gameplay and amazing puzzels, that actually needs little brain to solve. I recomend this highly too anybody who likes a story oriented puzzle game. 10/10

Frogwares knows how to make a good adventure game. That they do it with Sherlock Holmes is awesome. I like how the puzzles aren't mind numbing and nonsensicle but can actually be solved by mere mortals. The music kind of reminded me of the composer for that game Gray Matter, both of which were memorable. Great voice acting too. Could use some optimization work but, whateves put the money in animation and other things I'm fine with that :D Great Game!

A+. Got this game on a $5 steam sale, and it was worth way more than that. It provided me with 10 hours of solid explorative gameplay.. Definitely the best point and click adventure game I've played in years. Being able to swap from the traditional bird's eye view to first person added a whole new experience to the game as well.

I've been enjoying this game so far. It's mostly a point and click adventure with some puzzles in the middle but the dialog and mystery is really fun. Very reminicant to the novels and stories.

An interesting game, however it has one big annoyance: you tend to figure it out before Homes does but then have to back track and do everything in the order the dev wants you to do it in - which is sometimes a much harder task than figuring out the mystery itself.

Frogwares has been doing Sherlock Holmes games for more than ten years. You'd think they'd gotten pretty good at it, but judging by The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, they've just gotten sloppy. The engine is getting visibly long in the tooth, and the mystery you're solving this time does some very un-Holmesian leaps of logic and plausibilty towards the end.

The production values are just plain mediocre all around. While some of the puzzles are fun, there is an alaming number of inventory puzzles requiring you to combine various ropes and ladders into longer ropes and ladders. At its worst, the gameplay just devolves into a hotspot hunt, a variation of the dreaded pixel hunt. Not recommended unless you're either a hardcore Holmes fan, or a hardcore adventure game fan.

Complete croc and ♥♥♥♥. The characters aside from the main ones were brutally modeled. And despite being a dialogue heavy game, no one seems to have any decent lip syncing. Not to mention the voice acting itself. While the actors sound the part, none of them can give a proper performance using the attrocious dialogue written. It sounds like the writers simply copied sir conan doyle's writing pattern and expected it to translate to voice. Not to mention the fact that they clearly don't know how to properly write this kind of stuff. Watson sounds like an imbecile gawking in awe of the "great" sherlock, who did nothing but walk around and look at the crime scene, and while yes that's what he does in the the rest of the stuff, there was to presentation of what sherlock actually does, which is observe. Instead we get Sherlock wandering around a room clicking on anything with a magnefying glass and then when he has to reveal the big secret? a Monkey did it. ooh, spoilers, sorry for ruining the tutorial for you. Sorry, but they are writing sherlock as a detective novel when the books were never detective novels they were adventure novels ABOUT a detective. there's a big difference.

Great Story, Terrible gameplay. It is frustrating, boring and well over priced. Save yourself the effort and watch a walk through instead on youtube.
