-----------This is my review account, because the low playtime.
Graphics:
+ fantastic effects
+ the water!
+ harmonious lighting
- low polygon scenery
- sometimes bland ground textures

Atmosphere:
+ gorgeous over-down scenario
+ cool movies
+ known actors
+ matching humor
+ c&c flair total

Sound:
+ good units comments
+ professional speaker
+ massive surround sound
+ atmospheric music

Balance:
+ easy start
+ never unfair
+ none of the parties really overpowering
- difficulty varies
- for pros to easily

Map Design:
+ exciting, ever-changing mission objectives
+ surprises
+ bizarre replica of the original scenes
- sometimes boring side quests

AI:
+ co-op colleagues respond accurately to commands
- aI does not change tactics
- dropouts and illogical actions
- pathfinding

Units:
+ all units useful
+ secondary tactical skills
+ rock-scissors-paper-principle
+ super weapons not overpowering

Campaign:
+ staged with a wink and technically excellent
+ motivated until the end
- in the basic simple action

Game Size:
+ solo playtime around 20 hours
+ three individual nations
+ extensive multiplayer part
+ three campaigns
- but be a short one

Multiplayer: good
+ multiplayer playtime around 50 hours
+ good balance, cool co-op mode, but not enough game modes and options.

Red Alert 3 presents crazy, whether by the witty ideas and cutscenes or the bizarre units. Good thing behind this harmonious backdrop also a thoughtful strategy game inserted. I have put together my army clever, specifically use the special abilities of my units and always meet changing requirements. Sure, the AI belongs modernized for a long time, and a new technique scaffold did C & C also good to have a lot of fun makes me Red Alert 3 anyway. This is mainly due to the new co-op mode, which finally brings variety to the C & C typical skirmish monotony. The gaudy spectacle is a successful extension of the Red Alert universe.

Score: 88 / 100

A great followup to Red Alert 2 with more plot holes thists, crazyness and humor. Great adaptive AI, smooth gameplay, great physics, greath graphics for it's time. Campaign is awesome, filled with high quality FMV with great freaking actors and actual acting. My playhours says it all this game ruined my life, send help, though most of them are modding related.

Once, in a match, I saw this Allied Rocket Trooper, stuck under the water, but still being able to fire rockets.
I had around 6 Shogun Battleships blow him to wonderland. Unfortunately, the water shielded him from the explosive barrages. Then a soldier gunned him down.
I am questioning the Shogun Battleship's firepower...

But on the bright side, I had an Attack Dog that took hardly any damage from running past 3 Armageddon Tanks who were firing at him. Who let the dogs out?

Canines are invulnerable! (Then they get one-shot by infantry units)

8.5/10 Dogs & Bears with Anti-Tank fur coats, and troops turning into Mermaids to avoid artillery barrages --- what more could you want?

EDIT: Of course, the enemy AI cheats by being able to launch strikes at your base without sending a sighting-unit over, which Human commanders must do (i was building a little infantry army so i can para-drop them and the Soviet AI launched a badger-bomber strike there, killing them all instantly, with NONE of their units at my base to reveal the shroud - this happens in every playthrough; beware!)...

Probably one of the greatest RTS of all time, very undeservingly placed in the shadows of the more famous StarCraft series, this series pack so much more humor, fun and loonyness!

Out of the recent releases of Command & Conquer, this one is easily one of the best I have ever played. (Red Alert 2 being my favorite). Cheesy live action videos with famous actors, are just the tip of the iceberg of just what makes this game amazing. The online play is outstandingly fun. (Servers are closed down now, Thanks EA. ♥♥♥.

Very nice follow up on RA2. I really enjoyed the Rising Sun campaign! C&C remains RTS king.

So before you continue, I should let you know I have a bit bias towords this game... This was my first RTS and brought me into the RTS world. The cutscenes are funny, and the characters are well written. The campaign is good. The multiplayer was fun, but I always had fun messing with the AI. 10/10

>♥♥♥♥ YOU EA< (((EDIT: go here to get multiplayer in this now: http://cnc-online.net/)))

The multiplayer on this game is now gone.
Lost 7 points out of its initial 10

3/10

3 points because its a great C&C game, like any other honestly, but updated, like the others. ♥♥♥♥ING EA RUINING THIS GAME.
Umm yeah, if you want to buy a C&C game now, just buy the newest one so you can play online or buy one that will give you a notalgia trip.

If you're brand new, just know that in the future EA will ♥♥♥♥ you in the ♥♥♥ eventually. and you should start with one of the older games to get the concept, might I reccomend Red Alert 1 or 2?
Maybe after beating those you'll feel the need to get 3, go ahead. But the best part of the game is gone now, no more skirmishes with friends. or playing Co-Op (granted there is still true LAN, Hamachi doesn't work though.)

♥♥♥♥ YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU EA

Story: 10/10

Fun at Stages, but there is no way (at least no easy way) to play the cooperate!! hear me: NO MULTIPLAYER as EA stopped the support of game spy (if i remember correctly), but with Origin there is no RA3 support either. Big Letdown, but honestly, waddaya expect from electronic arts anyway...
Game itself is OK, Story is crazy and the Videos are played by real people (as always). Bottom Line: this Could have gone CLASSIC but failed.
Game: 8/10
Gameplay: 6,5/10
Fun: 10/10
Multiplayer: 0/10

Overall: 7/10 but minus 2 for not saying that the multiplayer is down gives a final rating of: 5/10!

P.S. If i sound somewhat angry that is because we (yes more people than me) baught this game BECAUSE it had a COOP Campaign, well it has no longer...

Has a co-op campaign that is great to play with your significant other, and a tongue-in-cheek storyline that is quite entertaining.

I would not suggest this game to anyone who was a fan of the original Red Alert/2/Yuri's Revenge or even C&C Generals, EA and whatever is left of Westwood is long gone and dead. This game does not have an enjoyable campaign, the units are basic and boring, and it is not fun thus defeating the purpose of it being classified as a "game". The campaign is flat out dull and boring, the witty cutscenes that went hand in hand with good gameplay are no longer there, EA has seen fit to simply have bad acting encompass their bad game design just so they can say "look we remember what RA used to be too!"

The units are boring and made out of paper, the fun general powers from C&C Generals make a return but with None of the fun or innovation that the previous title put into it. Factional units are cut and paste from each other with only some different looking models and alternate modes being the variation. The units in general show the worst signs of AI that I have ever seen in ANY RTS title or game that I have played PERIOD. They are extremely near-sighted; they always fail to return fire unless you give them a direct order and will just sit there getting blown away by everything. Speaking of alternate unit modes, this game tries to do something different and fails utterly, the only thing that these abilities do is further complicate the most BASIC C&C formula and further hamper the gameplay and fun factor of the title. Even when you have them built with attack at will rather then defensive they will consistently neglect to defend themselves even when the enemy unit is right on top of them, it is babysitting of the highest order and a huge failing of the “game” and its developers. The “future” has shown that any C&C title past Generals or maybe the earlier 3D C&Cs have been a complete failure as fans continue to drop the titles in favor of something less driven by greed and fake innovation.

During the campaign you can either have a coop human player, if you can keep connection with EA’s trash servers (another quality sign of EA) or you can be aided by the in game AI, which is semi competent enough however the kicker is that for an RTS game you and your coop player share ore resources, which is absolutely ridiculous and a really poorly thought-out mechanic. On the subject of the campaign again I will clarify further that it is one of the most boring three faction story mode that I have ever played let alone failing to bring me any joy from playing it. I have to push myself in order to go back to it and attempt to finish it that’s how I consider the story mode and the game in general, boring and a CHORE, no game should ever make the player feel that way! I am very glad that I never got this game when it came out for the full price and even then $10 for a 2008 title I still feel ripped off and the price proves that EA will never stop being a money grubbing parasite. To add to this, Steam needs to change the description of this game since as of now the Gamespy servers have been shut down indefinitely so the online Coop and multiplayer are no longer a functioning entity of this title.

The music of C&C has always been memorable this is especially the case with the Red Alert series. However in RA3 they have yet again gone away from being GOOD and simply moved to the most repetitious garbage that I have had to listen to repeated through the ENTIRE CAMPAIGN. You will hear a single song for the entirety of each an every single mission within the campaign as well as the multi and skirmish section, not ONCE is the famous Red Alert song played at any point within the game short of the menu, that is yet more proof that there is no longer a Command and Conquer series of RTS games at all. They have simply screwed up on the entire game, which amazingly enough extends to even the music score which is unbelievable.

I am saddened that this title got such higher praises then I feel that it should have, as if the fans were so hopeful to the possibilities of the new EA Westwood titles that everyone seems to have given this game a pass regardless to how bad it truly is. I feel sorry that the younger generations after me will never again know how good C&C titles used to be and that based on this, my last C&C title that I will buy, we will never see the good days again.
