About This Game

Command the Crimson Directorate or the Azure Coalition

Teryon Crisis is a near-future real-time strategy game about two armies, one fragile front and the commanders who decide how it ends. Build a base, mine ore, research technology and field combined arms: infantry, armour, artillery, ships and aircraft. Then win the way you prefer, through a branching 33-mission campaign, in skirmish against up to three AI commanders, or side by side with friends.

At a glance

  • 33 campaign missions, 6 branching decisions, 12 campaign assets, 24 side objectives, 57 stars
  • 2 to 4 human players, co-op, 2v2 and free-for-all
  • 5 skirmish modes, 13 mutators, 9 generals, 16 battlegroup call-ins
  • 32 technologies, 6 faction-unique units, aircraft and landing craft
  • 5 AI personalities and a Dynamic difficulty level
  • 10 original music tracks (AI-generated), 2 faction announcers, 30 Steam achievements
  • Interface in 8 languages, voices in 7

Campaign: 33 missions, six decisions

  • A campaign that branches. Six two-way decisions choose which mission comes next. A single route plays 26 missions; the road you did not take becomes an optional side operation. Winning a route earns one of 12 campaign assets that join you later: tanks, a gunship with a recon sweep, extra credits, free research or a revealed map.
  • New chapter: Embers (Act IV). Seven missions: Ashen Crossing, Cinder Valley, Black Tide, Tide Reach, Wire Road, Smolder Grid and Last Ember, with night river fighting, wind-driven fires, an oil platform, minefields and a final stand where your commander must survive.
  • In-engine cinematics. Seven mission intros and one chapter outro, with subtitles, plus short pre-rendered campaign films (AI-generated). The Embers cinematics are voiced.
  • Missions with a twist. 12 missions carry a signature mechanic, such as a bridge blown at a set time, a paratroop drop behind your refinery, hidden mine belts or a fire front. 24 side objectives each award a star.
  • Two special operations. Blackout Run (no base, a nine-unit strike team) and Hold the Line (ten minutes, seven counterattacks).
  • Rewards that matter. Bronze, silver and gold medals, veterans who carry over into the next mission and the War Room, where stars buy permanent upgrades. 57 stars are available in total.
  • Story difficulty for players who want the narrative with less pressure.

Play together

  • 2 to 4 human players: co-op against the AI, 2v2 or free-for-all. The AI fills any free slot.
  • Connect your way: Steam lobbies with friends, public and private rooms and invites through the Steam overlay (no setup), LAN games on your network, or a room code over a relay server that one of the players runs.
  • In battle: map pings, a quick-chat menu, team chat and one-click rematch from the result screen.
  • Steam features: 30 achievements, Steam Cloud for progress, saves, settings and custom maps, and rich presence.

Skirmish without limits

  • Five modes: Annihilation, King of the Hill, Domination, Survival and Protect the Commander.
  • Nine battlefield families in four sizes (240, 320, 480 and 640 m), plus your own maps from the Map editor.
  • 13 mutators that stack up to ten at a time, plus a Weekly operation with a fixed map, faction and rules, the same for every player; your best result is kept on your PC.
  • Generals Challenge: nine named generals, each with a bonus and a drawback, ending in a boss.
  • Battle plans, commander heroes and battlegroup call-ins: three plans per faction, the Colonel and the Major with three abilities each, and 16 call-ins bought with points earned in battle.
  • Choose the conditions: start time, day and night, weather, neutral sites, sea and air objectives, hazards.

New units, aircraft and technologies

Six faction-unique units, available in skirmish and multiplayer:
  • Crimson Directorate: Inferno flame tank, Thunder rocket truck, Shock trooper.
  • Azure Coalition: Phantom stealth tank, Drone carrier, Arc trooper.
Build an Airfield for Fighters, Bombers and paratroopers (Airborne doctrine). Ferry troops with the Landing craft and the Transport helicopter. Research tree: 32 technologies, including three new lines for each faction.
Faction units, aircraft and call-ins are part of skirmish and multiplayer; the scripted campaign does not use them.

A smarter opponent

  • Five AI personalities: Balanced, Rusher, Turtle, Naval and Air.
  • Dynamic difficulty joins Easy, Normal and Hard and follows the flow of the battle.
  • Commanders that expand, attack from several directions at once, raid your miners, capture buildings and react to superweapon warnings.
  • Orders for AI allies and a charge meter for the enemy strategic weapon.

A battlefield that fights back

  • Day and night cycle, clear, overcast, rain, storm and fog, with lightning and wet ground.
  • Hazards: minefields, wind-driven forest fires, rubble and bridges that collapse span by span.
  • Heavy vehicles crush infantry and wire; infantry can garrison civilian buildings.
  • 3D terrain relief and grass, animated 3D models for 46 unit entries and 32 building assets, collapsing buildings and cinematic superweapon strikes.

Sound and languages

  • An original soundtrack of 10 tracks (AI-generated), just over 20 minutes: a main theme, calm themes and Crimson and Azure battle themes that take over as the fighting intensifies.
  • Two faction announcers and unit voices in 7 languages, with subtitles. Lithuanian uses English voices with Lithuanian subtitles.
  • Interface in 8 languages: English, Lithuanian, German, Spanish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

Tools, learning and comfort

  • Map editor with symmetry, undo, a playability check and export and import of maps. Replays for skirmish at 0.5x to 8x with a free camera.
  • Training battle, seven timed drills and the Codex with 105 entries.
  • Controls: rebindable hotkeys, three profiles, nine control groups, tactical pause, retreat order and line formation.
  • Accessibility: colour-vision modes, HUD scale up to 150 %, subtitle options.
  • Saves: quick save and load, rolling checkpoints and adjustable game speed in solo play.

Good to know

  • Multiplayer: custom maps and the strategic strike are not available yet. Online play works through Steam lobbies; room-code play over the internet needs a relay server run by one of the players.
  • This game uses AI-generated content: music, voices, portraits and illustrations, campaign and menu video sequences, concept art for many 3D models, translations and store art. See the AI disclosure below.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI tools were used during development to create some of the content that ships with the game; our team directed, selected and edited it:
- Music: the 10 soundtrack tracks were generated with Suno.
- Voices: announcer, unit and cinematic voice lines in seven languages are AI text-to-speech made from our own scripts.
- Visuals: general portraits, ability illustrations, menu backgrounds, unit and building portraits, some textures, the campaign and menu video sequences, and the store key art and capsules.
- 3D: many unit models were built from AI-generated concept images with AI image-to-3D tools, then cleaned up, rigged and animated by us.
- Localization: the German, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean texts in the game and on the store page were translated with AI assistance.
All of this is fixed content. The game does not generate AI content during play and does not connect to any generative AI service.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Depictions of fictional military warfare, gunfire, explosions, destruction of vehicles and buildings, and the deaths of soldiers. Combat is generally viewed from an overhead strategy camera. Cinematic sequences also depict warfare and destruction.
