About This Game

One morning, your wife and daughter vanished. After weeks of searching the house and the woods behind it, the police found no one: only the knife, and two empty beds.

"It's as though the house simply kept them."

Now you're back inside. The Kitchen Knife is a first-person psychological horror game set in a single house that loops, shifts and remembers. Every time you walk its halls, something has changed: a corridor that ends somewhere it shouldn't, a radio playing a song you never turned on, a child's drawing that wasn't there before. Read what your family left behind, piece together what really happened that morning, and decide how much of it you're ready to remember.

A house that won't stay the same

  • One house, endlessly reshaped. Each loop rewrites the rooms, the light and what's waiting in them.

  • The truth is in the objects. Police reports, journal pages, a newspaper, a child's drawings and fridge poems each hold a piece of the story.

  • Quiet, grounded puzzles. Find codes, keys and tapes, and make sense of what you read. No combat, and no monsters to fight.

Horror that gets under your skin

  • Slow-burn dread. Whispers inside the walls, crying that stops the moment you listen for it, and a lullaby that won't stop playing. A few well-timed jump scares make sure you never fully relax.

  • Made for headphones. The sound design does half the haunting.

  • Grief, guilt and memory. A personal story about a father, his family, and the morning everything fell apart.

One night, one complete story

  • About 60–90 minutes, no filler. Built to be played in a single sitting, ideally with the lights off.

  • 13 Steam achievements, some of them hidden for players who look closer.

  • English voice-over, with interface and subtitles in English, Deutsch, Español (Latinoamérica), Português (Brasil), Русский and 简体中文.
