Moonriver was a quiet town. Then something came down out of the sky, the power went out, and half the people in it stopped being people.

DayOff is a top-down survival horror with a detective at the center of it.

You play Officer John Smith, and his job hasn't actually changed: there is still a case to work.

Who Roger Black was. What Moonlight Corp was running outside of town. And why the old farmer's UFO call turned out to be true in the worst possible way.

Seen from above like Hotline Miami, paced like an 80s conspiracy thriller. The references are Twin Peaks and The X-Files, not Left 4 Dead.

• One zombie is a problem you solve. Fifteen is a natural disaster you run from.

• Work the case on your detective board: pin the clues, connect them, open the next lead.

• Barricade doors, break windows, throw things. Get in where there is no door.

• Ammo runs out. The flashlight, the dark and the shape of a room are weapons too.

• Drive across town and decide where to go next: the station, the gas stop, the hospital, the Pink Racoon hotel, the sewers under Chinatown, the Moonlight lab.

• Hand-drawn high-resolution art and an original dark synth soundtrack.

About 5 hours to the end of the story. No procedural filler, no padding.
