Today (28/09/2015) Dovetail Games has released a hotfix for Train Simulator 2016.

The hotfix will download and install through Steam. You may need to restart Steam if the process does not automatically start for you. Once complete, the new version number for Train Simulator 2016 will be 53.8a.

• Added Player Guide for owners of Train Simulator 2016
  
• Fixed unintentional differences between upgraded Store home page UI and Train Simulator 2016 Store home page UI.
  
• Fixed inability to publish content to Steam Workshop.
  
• Fixed loading screens from not displaying correct.
  
• Fixed instability with the In-Game Store.

One of the most eagerly awaited German locomotives for Train Simulator, the DB BR 261 ‘Voith Gravita’ is now available in distinctive Deutsche Bahn livery.

The DB BR 261 10BB built by Voith, and named internally as the ‘Gravita’, is a diesel-hydraulic shunting freight locomotive able to operate over medium capacity main line freight routes.

Chosen to replace the ageing fleet of BR 290 series of diesel shunting locomotives, the Gravita is state-of-the-art and boasts a main-line capable cab setup.
Its sister vehicle, the BR 261, is virtually identical with only a diesel particulate filter between them.

The BR 261 10BB for Train Simulator is available in Deutsche Bahn livery and features combination throttle and brake, cruise control/speed set, engine start/stop, cab and instrument lighting, in-cab signalling, PZB and SIFA systems. Also included are Rnoos 64 and Zacns 95 freight cars.

The locomotive is also Quick Drive compatible, giving you the freedom to drive the DB BR 261 ‘Voith Gravita’ on any Quick Drive enabled route for Train Simulator, such as those available through Steam. Also included are scenarios specifically for the Mannheim-Karlsruhe route (available separately and required to play these scenarios).

Drive 130km (80 miles) of track through Austria, Germany and Switzerland, passing through 40 detailed stations!

A tour de force in route design, with stunning scenery, country-specific signalling systems and custom objects throughout, the Three Country Corner Route is probably the most authentic, realistic and detailed route for Train Simulator to date!

Brought to you by Just Trains, the Three Country Corner route lies at the heart of Europe and covers three countries. It starts at Lake Constance in Germany on the Island of Lindau, crosses over to the mainland on a railway dam, and then follows the shores of Lake Constance to the city of Bregenz in Austria.

From there you have two choices - either continue on the main line or take a branch line into Switzerland. This branch line crosses the River Rhine, which forms the border between Austria and Switzerland, and continues on to the city of Rorschach where the line terminates.

The main line starts its slow climb through the valleys to the city of Bludenz, surrounded by the often snow-capped mountains of the Alps, then becomes a single track mountain pass (Arlberg Pass) that winds its way through the Alps. When the tracks reach the very top of the pass at St. Anton, the route finishes.
