What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The main game is playable and polished, and we could basically release the game as. However, an open beta will help make the game even better, allowing us to tweak, polish, and perfect the game. We are actively adding features, like more evolution upgrade trees (Mars, Dinosaurs, and Plants) and we are trying out different gameplay modes (merging, building, and space mining). We want to grow and improve Cell to Singularity with feedback from our players as they experience the game itself.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to officially release the game in February 2019. Based on that timeline, the game will be in Early Access for 4 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will have additional evolution upgrade trees sure as Dinosaurs and Plants. You will also be able to get further into the potential future, such as exploring the galaxy and creating large space structures- such as the Dyson sphere- around our home star. There will also be many achievement that can be unlocked, and new trophy animals and trophy technologies (Sharks, Seahorses).”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All the features in the about section are available in the current build of the game. The core game is complete. You can the play the entire main game starting from a simple cell to humans and up to the technological singularity. From that point you also can play the Mars tech tree.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will be free-to-play with premium currency (Darwinium) that will allow you to play the game faster, adding boosts and unlocking upgrades. There will also be a premium mode or subscription system that will give the player Darwinium every day, and has some additional special features that make the game more fun.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are looking for feedback and advice on what gameplay features to add or remove. The best place to let us know your ideas and feelings about the game is our Steam forum, or on the game's Discord channel. The dev team will be actively watching and responding to your feedback as you send it to us.”

BETA 0.95 - Finishing touches on new UI

Hi everyone! We're working very hard to finish the new update and we're getting close to releasing it publicly. However, we wanted to test one more intermediate build before we send it out into the world. If you all could look over the beta one more time to check out what we've changed and continue to give us notes on what we should fix or alter, we would really appreciate the help.

Things that we've changed:
- Achievements are not in the dashboard
- Changed the reality engine menu and made it so you can see the upgrades in the Semblance menu without having to restart the game
- Changed a few of the names of the titles on the dashboard
- Fixed scrolling in the Mars garden ( I know you get scroll outside the map i'm fixing that today!)
- Fixed the UI bug where it was zoomed in after restarting
- Fixed overlapping on garden side panel icons
- Adjusted generator buy layout
- Brought back the shooting star boost
- Changed icon on statistics panel
- Made "buy" button easier to read when inactive
- Added icons to rotation lock option button

We're still working on some of the cosmetic details, like overlapping text and text color on certain screens, and those should be fixed by the next build.

Thank you all for the help you've done with testing the game so far. We're looking forward to hearing your feedback on this version!

BETA v0.93 - Completely New UI, Skinny Mode, Boosts

You may have noticed that we haven't put out any new updates recently. This is because we've been hard at work on a big UI overhaul, and we're finally getting ready to release it. We've made a lot of big changes, and before we send it out into the world, we need the help of some beta testers to give us feedback and make sure that everything is working.

These changes include:
-Adding portrait mode to the game. With both landscape and portrait mode, now the game can look great on both your PC and your phone.
-A new dashboard that gives you easy access to the various menus, including the store and the evolutionary tree.
-Voice acting in the game's intro sequence, in anticipation of new story content surrounding the simulation machine and the AI that runs it, Semblance.

We have new content on the way, and though it needed to take a temporary backseat to these UI upgrades, our small team has been working very hard on continuing the story of Cell to Singularity. Our next big content expansion after this update is going to be DINOSAURS, and we can't wait for you to see them.

How to TEST the BETA
- Right click on the game in steam, click the properties option.
- Then click the BETA tab and chose the drop down public beta.
- Then open and close steam and the update will download.
