Why Early Access?

“Player feedback has been important to me at all stages of development, and Slime Research would not be where it is today without it. Early Access will allow me to deliver a much better final product, as well as give the community the chance to help contribute to Slime Research's success.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I would like to have Slime Research in Early Access until about Winter 2019.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Slime Research will include more gameplay elements and a much more user-friendly Level Editor. A centralized Level Server (think Mario Maker/ Little Big Planet) is also at the top of my list of must-haves for a full release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Slime Research currently contains 12 levels that show off a variety of gameplay features.

The biggest risky feature - The Dynamic Slime - functions well in a wide variety of gameplay situations, is easy for even new players to control, and has good CPU performance.
The Level Editor is capable of creating a wide variety of levels using blocks, buttons, doors, wires, and logic gates. Levels can be saved, loaded, and shared in ASCII text form.

The Slime can cause high lag after being slammed into walls at high speeds, but moving around a bit should bring the slime, and performance, back to normal.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As Slime Research continues development, the price will gradually increase to reflect the higher quality. I'll try my best so that everybody who supports Slime Research in Early Access will only become more satisfied with their purchase as time goes on.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is welcome on the Steam Discussion Board, and I will do my best to fix discovered issues. You can also let me know whenever you or your friends make a cool level in Slime Research!”

-Upload Directly from the In-Game Level Editor
-Subscribed Items appear under the "Play" menu
-Game does not have to be restarted after Subscribing to new Items

2 new levels

Slime du Coleil and Slime Containment Puzzle have been added to the game!

Slime du Coleil is a high-flying circus act, while Slime Containment Puzzle focuses on the new Physics Sphere, and blocks that only the Slime Body or Slime Core can enter!

There are also some minor tweaks to items and other levels. Enjoy!

About This Game

Ooze through the world!

You control the Slime's Core, whose Body subconsciously follows along. Your Core can fling itself to great heights, then remotely call the Body back. Your slimy Body allows you to climb larger obstacles, and even up vertical chimneys! Can you master control of this bizarre Dual Entity?
