Why Early Access?

“I have been working on Resuffer main campaign for over 3 years. It is feature-rich, nearly-finished, very stable and really fun to play already with dozens of hours of content. Yet, the Early Access is crucial for the game to meet its full potential for these reasons:

  • Balancing existing content based on the community's feedback.
  • Adding more content, and tailoring it to what players enjoy the most.
  • Implementing a Level Creator as a fundamental part of the game.
  • Building a community around PLAYING and CREATING brutal challenges.
  • Optimizing the game to work on low-end machines.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“No rush! While I plan to finish the game in a little bit over a year, if the community came up with new fun ideas that need more time, together, we'll make it happen!”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

  • More music tracks, and the ability to switch between them.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The main story campaign is fully developed, packing over 150 levels and 8 boss fights, and a compelling narrative, divided across 12 chapters, each with new interesting mechanics and features that would take average players over 40 hours to beat.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. I believe in giving an advantage to early supporters, so the current Early Access price will increase as more features and contents are added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“A lot of the current Resuffer had been shaped by the players since inception. Many aspects of the game like Level Editor, Assist Mods and even, the very concept of having a Story Mode were community suggestions and I plan to continue this amazing feedback loop to make the best possible experience.

About This Game

Help Chandler in his venture through the realms of his own subconscious where beauty, brutality, psychosis, and reality blend together! It all starts when he decides to honor his father's dying wish for him to take a psychedelic that the old man had a hand in making. A drug that, not only opens a window into the inner mind but also creates a trance state that connects the worlds of the dead and the living!



A drug, which when taken, causes a person to imagine themselves trapped in their own head and turned into what they believe they are. Some into glorious angels, others into terrifying demons, and some into enormous beasts, all while poor Chandler finds himself in the body of a frail, misshapen Rabbit! That's how broken his self-image is, especially after the death of the only family he ever had, his abusive father!

GAMEPLAY FEATURES



  • SIMPLE: The basic gameplay loop is straight forward. At the beginning of each challenge, you'll find yourself imprisoned in a chamber and your goal is to survive long enough for the escape port to unlock.

  • DYNAMIC: In this top-down, auto-runner, once you start moving you can not stop unless you win or die, yet with the ultra-responsive control, you can always turn, jump, slow the time, and even fly!

  • CHALLENGING: The more you change directions the faster you'll become, keeping things fresh all the time. Even a challenge that is so easy to beat at low speeds will be "tough as nails" at high ones.

  • PUNISHING: What makes it so hard to survive in Resuffer is the fact that if you touch anything you die instantly. There is no health to lose and no potion to gain.

  • PRECISE: The game features pixel-perfect hitboxes on everything to the point where each "cheekbone" of the rabbit you take control of detects collision separately!

  • ADDICTIVE: You'll probably spend hours trying to beat a challenge that requires you to survive for 10 seconds only! The constant acceleration and the fact that you're always so close to both winning and losing will keep you coming back for more.

  • BALANCED: While Resuffer boasts a high difficulty and encourages you to "git-gud" it has a full set of assist modifications that tailor the experience to your own taste, no matter how slow your reflexes are.

  • DIVERSE: The main campaign is packed with over 150 hand-crafted challenges divided across 12 chapters, each with a new gameplay mechanic!

  • Unconventional Storytelling: Resuffer is hyper-fast! There's no time to stop for a cutscene! That's why the lore is told through collectible cassettes, scattered throughout the game, tying how much you know of the story with how skilled you are!
