Waarom vroegtijdige toegang?

'(Updated 12/01/21) Early Access allows us to work on adding new content and polishing the game while directly communicating with our community. We've been involving players in various playtests from early pre-alpha stages, and we know how valuable your feedback can be.

While the main story content is fully defined and almost entirely playable in internal builds at this point, there's a lot of work to do when it comes to polish. Additionally, we want to make sure the final game also comes with enough side content to satisfy our fans.'

'We're planning for Shores Unknown to stay in Early Access for approximately one year.'

'The full version of the game will feature all four story chapters of the game, as well as optional side content - overall, we expect our players to get at least 20-30 hours from a single playthrough in the final version. It will also feature expanded character progression through more classes, items and abilities. You can also expect numerous incremental improvements to gameplay, interface and visuals leading up to final release.'

Wat is de huidige staat van de versie met vroegtijdige toegang?

'At the moment, Shores Unknown includes the first two chapters of the main story and the majority of side content (quests, contracts) planned for the first half of the game (~15 hours of gameplay on average).

The players are able to unlock the full party (up to 5 members) and a personal mercenary hideout, as well as encounter some challenging fights and experience our original battle system as advertised. Only English language will be supported upon release, as we're still working on finalizing the story content of the game.

Our goal is for this content to be as polished, bug-free and as fun to play as possible (those who played our demo should know what to expect), with few to no placeholders. We will continue adding new story chapters, side quests, contract battles and more, while also adjusting the existing content based on the player feedback.'

Over dit spel

Shores Unknown takes place in a land ruled by the iron-fisted Crown, and policed by the fearsome Inquisition, from whom it is said there is no escape. To the south lies the Empire and perpetual war, while to the north there is only the Murk — a seething wall of fog from which no ship has ever returned. In the midst of these grand forces, both natural and otherwise, our heroes must find a way to survive and to pursue their dreams of liberty.

Play as the newly-made leader of a mercenary company, fresh off an assignment gone awry. Now on the wrong side of the Crown, allies and loyalty are paramount. Forced to venture through the maw of the Murk in a search for truth, players will explore unknown lands, forge new alliances, and wage battle against those who would see to their end. What dangers await on Shores Unknown?

Gridless tactical turn-based combat: take your time to assess the situation and command your characters in the Order Phase, then watch your strategy come to life during the Action Phase as the characters maneuver around the battlefield and carry out their orders.
