Om spillet

EXFIL is a tactical first-person shooter that empowers players with sandbox game modes and the tools to play the way they want. We strive to provide immediate value while also laying out a roadmap for how the game will grow and evolve over time.

Throughout Early Access, we aim to tap into our community’s creativity and feedback, enabling players to craft new game modes, scenarios, and unique experiences. Whether it's competitive PvP, cooperative challenges, or dynamic PvE missions, we want to give players the freedom to think outside the box and shape their gameplay in ways that push the boundaries of traditional shooters.

Our Early Access version of EXFIL centers on a unique configuration where up to four factions compete in one of two extraction-style game modes. This showcases the core mechanics and gameplay style we’re striving for. We believe it highlights our ability as developers to deliver on our promises—something that Early Access games often struggle with.

We’re a small team of three core developers, supported by approximately 4-5 contractors and moderators. Our goal is to grow the team to 10-12 roles, enabling us to fully flesh out the game after the Early Access launch.

Early Access gives us the opportunity to gather crucial resources, expand our supportive community, and bring more of our feature wishlist to life.

Game Modes: To kick things off, we’ve got two core game modes, each with a ton of customization options for the server host. And we’re just getting started—there’s more in the works.

Classic Extraction: The signature EXFIL experience. Multiple teams race toward a common target, fighting tooth and nail to extract with the intel. Only one team gets out on top.


Rogue Extraction: An intense, asymmetrical, high-stakes cat-and-mouse mode. A small team of rogue operatives starts with valuable intel and must outmaneuver a larger, opposing force to escape. One wrong move could be their last.

We’re not stopping there either!
We’re also building a full scenario editor that’s going to put you in the driver’s seat. You’ll be able to tweak game rules, craft new challenges, or design entire scenarios from scratch. It’s all about giving you the freedom to create the experience you want..

Dynamic Maps: We’ve got five massive, handcrafted maps waiting for you to explore. Each map brings something different to the table, with dense forests, industrial zones, military camps, and more.

    Dynamic weather and time-of-day:

    Meaning no two matches are the same. Whether it’s rain, fog, or even sandstorms, you’ll need to adapt on the fly. It’s about making each encounter feel fresh, unpredictable, and just a bit more intense.

    Fully Simulated Bullet Physics, Penetration, and Armor:

    We’ve gone all out on the realism front. Every shot in EXFIL is calculated—bullet drop, velocity, and trajectory all factor in, and bullets interact with not just the environment but player armor as well. They’ll penetrate or ricochet off surfaces based on thickness and material, meaning you’ll need to think about your surroundings, giving every firefight a whole new level of strategy.

    Weapon Arsenal:

    Our growing arsenal has you covered, whether you prefer precision or firepower. We’ve got a range of primary and secondary weapons, throwables, deployable traps, and night vision gear. And we’re just getting started! New weapons, gear, and traps are on the way, including snipers, shotguns, and SMGs—so stay tuned!

Self-Hosted Servers and Dedicated Hosting Options:

With EXFIL, you’re in control of your own game environment. Self-hosted servers let you set the rules and create the gameplay experience you want. Prefer something more long-term? We’ve got dedicated hosting options too—same customization, with added stability.

Our built-in VOIP is ready for action!: Providing each team with dedicated voip to enhance tactical gameplay.

The future’s bright for EXFIL. As a self-funded team, we're committed to continuously developing new features, no matter the revenue from Steam. Over the next 12-18 months, our goal is to collaborate closely with the community to expand our toolset with even more unique features.

We’re working on introducing AI enemies to add more gameplay depth and challenge, whether you’re setting up PvE missions or preparing for epic PvP encounters.

Single player, MP, Co-op. Don’t forget our Scenario Editor, which will let you create and share your own PvE missions, asymmetric PvP game modes, AI sieges, and more. We can’t wait to see what the community comes up with!

Some "Coming Soon" features include but are not limited to:

NPCs: We are eager to add NPC as a local opposition force that gamers can encounter in the world.
Localizations: Including but not limited to Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Spanish, Filipino, German and French.
Slot Inventory: We aim to enhance the "build your own adventure" aspect of kits and roles by introducing a slot-based inventory system. This system will allow players to configure their loadouts in-game, utilizing an Armory or similar mechanic.
Global Stats tracking: To complement our end of match stat tracking, one of our long term goals is to give users a historical dashboard of their gameplay. This dashboard will track various metrics, including preferred weapons, factions, game modes, hit percentage, and other detailed milsim statistics across a user's entire EXFIL career.
Scenario editor: We aim to bring you a robust scenario editor, giving you the tools and freedom to create
