The Season Of Skills Is Here!

Summer is here (unless you live in Iceland) and the time has never been better to take a look at your skill plan, decide what you want to specialize in and start planning for the future. This is especially true right now given the unpredictable nature of New Eden.

As part of a series of events that we'll be running over the Summer months, we're now offering pilots the chance to grab three months of Multiple Character Training for just $1 / €1 / £1 / RUB 29 when you buy 3 months of omega time.

This offer will be available through until downtime (11:00 UTC) on July 17, so if you want to grab it and get in some super-cheap extra training over the course of the summer for one of your characters, be sure to take advantage of this deal on Account Management here!

Log in every day throughout Bonus Skill Point Week and get free Skill Points between 17 and 25 July! As an Alpha pilot you can claim up to 200k Skill Points, but upgrade to Omega and you can claim up to 650k Skill Points throughout the event, as well as Cerebral Accelerators! Use your Skill Points to train essential skills needed for piloting bigger, better ships with more advanced weaponry.

Answer CONCORD's call to arms and fight the Triglavians by gaining as many Skill Points as you can during Skilling Spree between 24 July and 21 August for destroying NPCs! Get rewards ranging from 10,000 Skill Points for one kill, to the rarer 50,000 Skill Points for more kills per challenge. This will add more Skill Points to your unallocated pool to be spent on training into the ships you'd love to fly!

New Eden needs you to fight back against the Triglavians, so log in every day between 23 - 26 August and claim your free Skill Point rewards! Get up to 75,000 Skill Points as an Alpha, and up to 250,000 Skill Points as an Omega. Advance your combat capabilities, get better ships, weaponry, and defend New Eden!

WHAT TO DO WITH ALL THESE SKILL POINTS?

With all these bonus Skill Points new players might be wondering what they should train.

The Magic 14 by EVE University is a list of fourteen fundamental skills which apply to every single ship that a player can pilot in EVE, from a shuttle to a titan. Each of these skills is worthwhile for a new character to train as early as possible, especially if they haven't decided what type of play style they may be interested in pursuing yet.

EVE Online: Invasion Is Live!

We’re super happy to announce that Invasion, the exciting and free new expansion, is now live!

The expansion brings the kickoff of the Triglavian Invasion as the Collective takes its first aggressive steps into known space. In addition to this, there’s a whole host of quality of life changes, the next stage of the war declaration overhaul, new tech II Triglavian hulls, mutaplasmid groups and invention materials, as well as the new pointer tool and a complete overhaul of The Agency.

Pilots can expect the Triglavian threat to escalate in the coming weeks as the collective begins to establish a beachhead in known space, launching attacks against territories across the cluster.

Bringing a new presence to New Eden, pilots will have to directly face the Triglavian fleet as it emerges from Abyssal Deadspace in brand new combat sites.

Additional Expansion Information

EVE Online: Invasion sees the Triglavian Collective emerge from the Abyss for the first time, in an invasion that will begin on May 28th and intensify in the following days and weeks. Capsuleers across the cluster should be prepared to meet this new threat head on, facing formidable enemy fleets and escalating consequences to earn lucrative rewards.

In addition to this, there’ll be the introduction of the first Tech II Triglavian ships, as well as new mutaplasmids for damage controls, assault damage controls and both ancillary armor repairers and shield boosters.

Industry changes are also coming with the Invasion to accommodate the new Tech II Triglavian hulls, including brand new skills for Triglavian invention and manufacturing as well as new Tech II Triglavian components, datacores and some tweaks to Triglavian ship and module production.

The EVE Dev Team’s focus on quality of life improvements will also see the next stage of war declaration changes arrive with EVE Online: Invasion, as well as tweaks to Tech II ammo types, allowing them to be loaded into all Faction, Storyline, and Officer weapon variations.

Quality of life improvements don’t stop there, with this expansion also offering an entirely redesigned experience for The Agency, with a focus on making content and activities in New Eden more discoverable and accessible to both new and established pilots alike. The Agency will see the return of the agent finder, as well as a visual overhaul to make activities, resource gathering and exploration clearer and more concise.
