Why Early Access?

“Early Access is an opportunity for us to present a solid ready-to-play representation of our game Tony Slopes™. Throughout production we have made every effort to listen to the community and review feedback, requests and criticism. We have utilised every ounce of this vital information to help us shape the game accordingly so we can not only meet our players expectations, but exceed them!

Early Access is a milestone in our development which will showcase how far we have come and give players a clear picture of where the game Tony Slopes™ is heading. There are many areas of the game we could spend forever improving, but the feedback from Early Access will help to keep the game focused and prioritise which areas are most important to the players'. This will allow us to fine tune where our development time should be best spent.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are using the Early Access stage to enhance the game through valuable player input. Ongoing updates are in progress, and although we have no intention of remaining in Early Access indefinitely, we currently want to refrain from providing a specific timeframe until we feel we have achieved a well-polished product.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of the game is set to include new racers, new headgear, a global leaderboard and some additional menu features.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Features in Early Access:
*Solo Play & Online Multiplayer
*10 Racers, 9 Hats, 10 Vehicles and 9 Maps
*Achievements”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“There are no plans to alter the price ‘during’ Early Access, but there may be a slight price increase for the full version of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community involvement has always played a strong part of our game development process.

We first exhibited our demo of Tony Slopes at the EGX show in Birmingham in 2018. The game received an incredible response and after speaking with many people over the 4 day event, we were able to come away with a great deal of feedback.

The feedback helped us to realise the direction that the game needed to be going in and as a result we made a difficult decision to strip the entire game back to its bare bones and rebuild it from scratch.

During the EGX event we ran a poll which gave the audience an opportunity to vote for the next 2 vehicles to be added into the game. People were free to suggest literally anything for our racers to ride on as long as it was a) family-orientated and b) not an ‘actual vehicle’ like a car or a bus.

We allowed the poll to run on for a further 2 months to build up a worthy list containing hundreds of different ‘vehicle’ suggestions. Throughout the poll people were voting for their favourite ideas and it wasn’t long before some ideas began to surface as the front runners. On the draw day, we picked the top 2 which turned out to be a great white shark and a toilet! These ‘vehicles’ are now in the game!

We exhibited again at EGX 2019 in London with a new and improved demo and were delighted to see that we were getting an even bigger reaction! Players were enthusiastic to share their excitement for the game and were adding it to their STEAM wishlist there and then. (If you haven't done so already, now's the time!)
