Why Early Access?

“We want Project Nightmares to turn out as an excellent horror game, but we need people to get involved and make it happen. The procedural structure of the game is a unique, novel take on the survival horror genre.

We are a team of only two people; for us to see an indie game of this caliber through to completion is a difficult, but not impossible, task. It is a challenge that we gladly take on each day, in the hopes that the dream will become a reality.

Why is the game unique in its kind?


Project Nightmares has a structure of procedural terror incorporated into all of its mechanics, from the layout of the level, to the placement of objects, to the scares: it will be different every time you play it. You will never know where, when, or how a scare is coming, or even what the scare will be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We think the game will be finished at the middle of 2019.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The main difference will be the addition of new levels and improved functionality. We plan to make a significant increase in the amount of items, Secondary Missions, and achievements.
We would also like to add support for more languages in the future, and we plan to gradually update our localization.
We plan to add voice acting for our characters.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access Version includes the general structure of the main game, giving you a sense for how the environment is organic and ever-changing. What’s new?
  • We modified Henrietta's AI.
  • We modified Henrietta's animations
  • We added an automatic defense gameplay against Henrietta.
  • Salt dishes were added to search inside the level.
  • Arabic and German translation were added.
  • New models were created.

What has been fixed?
  • We fixed the bug where the effect of dizziness keep after falling and restart.
  • We fixed the movement of the entity that kills us when we stay long time in the dark.
  • Decreased the chance of falling when running without light.
  • Fixed camera errors when trying to open the doors.
  • Camera movement was corrected in some interactions.
  • Error of indexes in mission of portraits was corrected. Sometimes it caused a deadend and the next mission could not be continued.
  • Menu bugs were fixed.


What will be the next? (versión 1.0.008)
  • New missions.
  • New scenario.
  • Some voices will be added.
  • You will be able to open the doors and enter the rooms (they are generated randomly).
  • A new terror will go through the house...

Version 1.0.006

Version 1.0.006 has arrived.

What's new?
  • We added support for gamepad.
  • We enabled the keyboard configuration.
  • We add options to set up the mouse sensitivity.
  • The monocle lens was modified to give more realism.
  • We added the sprint option.
  • Textures have been changed.
  • Models have been created.

What has been corrected?
  • Several bugs were corrected regarding to the monocle.
  • Corrected an error that occurred when the candle throw wax.


What will be next? (version 1.0.007)
  • The FOV (Field of view) parameter will be enabled
  • We will add the translation to Arabic. Thanks to Faisal Nadhim
  • We are gonna try to complete the incomplete translations that are in English. We depend in this case on the people who donate translations.



What do we have to do?
  • As we mentioned in version 1.0.005, we will work on Henrietta, its AI and its animations
  • The character will defend himself with salt.
  • We have to add saves. The idea is to save the game automatically, maybe post mission (we have to define this)

About This Game

A group of scientists dedicated to studying the paranormal has developed a machine that can induce a patient with psychic abilities into a dream state, linking them to a malignant or cursed object.
Project Nightmares is in charge of investigating such objects, discovering the history behind them, and putting a stop to the evil they embody.



In the first installment of the game, we will play through the case of Henrietta Kedward. A toy with a dark past provides us with a connection to this malicious old woman; tapping into this connection, we’ll find ourselves in a nightmare set during her lifetime, surrounded by terror and mystery.



Every time you play, Project Nightmares will be different. The game was designed so that the experience of playing through it changes constantly; beyond the engaging storyline, the player will never know what’s going to happen next.
