Why Early Access?

“We are looking to grow our community of players and continue to refine the gameplay based on your feedback. Our title has been in development on and off for years but only recently we have product direction, dedicated QA, and additional artists to help grow the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“After another 6 months or so we hope to have a truly market-ready product. One of our fears, especially in this genre, is that we over-promise and under-deliver which leads to disappointment. Our goal is to continue to roll out content and features indefinitely”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our on-boarding process for new players is brutal. Developing missions that offer a path for new players to get into spaceships is a critical step we know we need to add. Steam VR support is another goal prior to emerging from Early Access. Beyond that we have a huge list of ideas in different states of readiness for development that range from new vehicle types and colony types to additional cities and orbital stations.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Our completely custom "Planetfall" engine renders 100 million square kilometers of topography in addition to player colonies and vehicles. Seamlessly transition ground to orbit and back.

  • Ground vehicles - a car (which you start with), a utility vehicle, and a flatbed
  • Aircraft models - 2 flying, another nearing completion
  • Aerospace models - 3 available
  • Weapons - 2 energy, 1 projectile
  • Cargo modules - 3 types, another nearing completion
  • Cities - 1 government city which is the center of our financial and public services
  • Orbital facilities - 3 orbiting stations, 2 of which are available for player docking
  • Player colonies - 5 types, mine, farm, township, airfield, estate
  • Simulators - 1 available for one of the aircraft models, more to come!
  • Skills - Lockpick, Diplomacy, Assay (D20 based)
  • Inventory - Sunglasses, Binoculars, ATM, Fireworks, Lockpick Set, Airfield Lights, RaveTrax Radio, Short and Long Range Sensors
  • Alliances - 3 active, soon reintroducing ability to create and manage your own
  • Weather - global weather system including fog, precipitation, icing, thunder, lightning, St. Elmo's fire
  • Terrain - realistic DEM model created by Russian cartographers, new raster map currently in progress
  • Avionics - primary flight display, scanners, navigation and moving map, AutoFlyte (autopilot), cargo management, orbital elements
  • Server - hosted waypoints, scanner data, terrain data and property management, colonist attributes, economy and commodities, banking and futures

About This Game

Rise is a MMO Space Simulator. The game is centered around a moon called Vieneo. The current game style does not lead you though any story line or tutorials. So its pretty much a sandbox setup for sci-fi role playing. They started developing on it again about a year ago with a new server and the expectation to offer VR soon!

The ultimate goal of this game is to have fun flying scifi spaceships and trade your way to riches. Players start out with a taxi making small amounts of credits. Eventually with some help from other players you may make it up to and E10 spacecraft hauling a variety of materials and passengers. Once you profit enough from passenger runs move onto buying property,constructing buildings and mining ores.

I have logged many hours in game. Most of them just hanging out. When I do fly I stick with the E-10 since it hauls the most cargo. Passenger runs from the city Deois to Easydock space station are probably one of the best ways to make credits.

If you are hardcore enough you should definitely check out this game. At the very least it should stir up your imagination.

Don’t be worried by the lack of players. The glass is half full and less players means more property available to purchase and mine.

The game includes special incentives and opportunities for players while in Steam Early Access.
