Why Early Access?

“We’re aiming for both a Multiplayer and Single Player experience for our finished game. With a successful Beta behind us, we’ve improved the game enough to where the online Multiplayer and AI Skirmish is at a point where it can be fully enjoyed while we work on implementing the campaign as well as work on additional features displayed on the Roadmap.

It also allows additional feedback for multiplayer regarding balancing which can further enhance the single player experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We aim to stay in Early Access for as long as is needed to complete our objectives on the roadmap. Our target release would be early 2019.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will feature a complete Single Player campaign as well as all the improvements we make during early access, both from the planned roadmap and feedback we receive from the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The early access already features Ranked and Custom Multiplayer as well as Skirmishes against AI opponents on a variety of themed maps.
Other features include an in-game wiki and full Hotkey Customization.

The Ranked Multiplayer features dedicated servers, matchmaking and in-game leaderboards with Leagues and Subdivisions.

Currently there’s two playable factions, the proud Wildlanders led by Mika, and Char’s menacing Necromas tribe. Each factions has their own unique units, buildings, talents and mechanics. A Third faction is under construction and will be added soon.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The early access version will be priced cheaper than the final release. The final price has not yet been decided.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“For our Beta we’ve used our official Discord server to constantly communicate with enthusiastic players and we intend to continue using this server for Early Access as well. The server is accessible both in-game as well as on our Community Page and will persist even after Early Access.

The Discord features separate channels for players to discuss balancing, provide suggestions, report bugs and find matches.

We always have this server open as we’re working on the game and periodically discuss the feedback we receive in order to make the game the best we can!”

Early Access 10.4 Patch Notes

  • Land Bridge (2v2) has returned! With a complete visual makeover, this map offers two sides connected by various bridges, allowing more defensive team games.

  • Land Bridge is now a possible map in Ranked Map Rotation.
  • Frozen Wastes is now a possible map in Ranked Map Rotation.

  • Council of the Wise’s Villager cost reduction and build speed bonus both reduced from 25% to 10%.

  • Effect of Harvest power reduced from 100% to 50%.
  • Harvest can only affect up to 10 Villagers at a time.
  • Harvest can no longer affect allied villagers, only yours.
  • Meteor Power has been adjusted to be more viable. It now consists of two strikes. The first one deals 25 Damage in a small AoE nearly instantly. The second one strikes after a delay in a larger AoE and deals 50 Damage. The second strike’s damage is double against targets hit by the first one.
  • Settlement build cost increased from 400 Food to 400 Food and 100 Crystal.

  • PFX have been added to Crystals to make them stand out more.
  • Leaderboards will now show 20 players per page.
  • Clicking buttons in the Menu will now play a sound effect.
  • The game’s language will attempt to set itself to system language when first started.
  • A warning will now display when attempting to connect to the ranked servers with an outdated version of the game.
  • The attack radius for the Settlement is now visually displayed.
  • Selecting a unit will show “Units Killed” underneath their Health.
  • AI APM is no longer displayed as it did not make much sense.
  • Damaging Powers will now display the targeting circle in the user’s colour.
  • The selection sound for units have been given a delay while we wait for more variety.
  • New Minimap icons were created to fit better in terms of style.
  • Post Processing was adjusted to make units appear less blurry and more crisp.

Early Access 10.3 Hotfix

  • Char no longers receives a Zombie when one of his units dies.
  • Zombie Health reduced from 50 to 40.

  • Fixed a localization error where the “Harvest” power was listed to have 0% effect instead of 100%.
  • Fixed incorrect localization for Meteor and Thunder Powers. Meteor deals 75 Damage to all units, Thunder splits 125 Damage amongst all targeted units.
  • Fixed a bug in Ranked Matchmaking where the APM was always displayed as 0 on the post-game screen.
  • Solved a food income exploit.

Miscellaneous Improvements
  • Players will only appear on the Leaderboards after they have played a Ranked match. You can still see your profile.
