What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We chose Early Access to build the best possible luthier simulation with our community. Developing a realistic and feature-rich simulation like Guitar Workshop will greatly benefit from feedback from passionate players. Your participation will allow us to identify areas for improvement, balance the game's economy, and prioritize new features that will make this the ultimate luthier experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan for Guitar Workshop to remain in Early Access for 6 to 12 months. This timeframe is estimated to allow us to integrate key features from the roadmap, as well as suggestions and fixes based on community feedback. Quality is our top priority, and we will only leave Early Access when we feel the game is complete, stable, and offers a rich gameplay experience.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We aim to make the full version of the game more feature-rich than the initial Early Access release.
Our current roadmap and goals for the final version include:
  • Expanded Crafting: We plan to explore mechanics like Raw Woodworking.
  • Content Growth: We intend to significantly expand the catalog of parts, electronic components.
  • New Gameplay: Our goal is to introduce more mission types, unique customer events, and fresh gameplay mechanics.
  • Refinement: Ongoing work on performance optimization, bug fixes, and user interface improvements.
  • Community-Driven Features: We are looking into adding features based on player feedback. Modding: We hope to implement mod support to empower our community.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access launch version is already fully playable and stable. The core gameplay loop is active:
  • You can take on missions (Repair, Painting).
  • You earn money, XP, and Reputation to progress.
  • You can purchase various parts via the in game shop.
  • You can fully customize your physical workshop.
  • You can build and display your personal collection.
  • The basic systems (disassembly/assembly/inspection, specialized workstations) are functional.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we plan for the Guitar Workshop price to be slightly lower during the Early Access period. We will increase the price at the full release to reflect the amount of content and features added over time. We want to reward the players who have supported us from the very beginning.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community is at the heart of our Early Access strategy. We plan to involve you in several ways:
Discussion Forums/Discord: We'll use dedicated platforms to gather bug reports, feature suggestions, and in-depth discussions about balance and realism.
Surveys: We'll conduct regular surveys to prioritize roadmap features and choose new part or machine models.
Regular Updates: We'll communicate transparently about our progress through regular development updates and blog posts.
Experimentation: We may release specific test versions so the community can try out new features before they're included in the main version of the game.”

About This Game

Step into the world of professional luthierie. Starting from a modest garage, you must build your reputation by delivering flawless craftsmanship. Designed for true enthusiasts, Guitar Workshop offers unparalleled depth. Every component matters. Experience the satisfying process of stripping a guitar down to its core.
