What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“With online multiplayer and precise strategic decisions being at the core of The Wall, it is essential that this game is developed with the feedback of the community. New content will be added with the end-user in mind. Like any developer, we want to make the game as enjoyable and balanced as possible.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The initial release of The Wall back in 2018 had major shortcomings that required a complete overhaul of the game - everything has been redone from netcode, to server infrastructure, to the graphics and gameplay. With that being said, consider the free to play update as the new initial Early Access release. With a new level of stability, leaving early access is an actually tangible goal.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Every update will bring The Wall closer to its final release. As of now, the core of the game is set in stone. The full version, however, will include an array of new weapons, structures, maps, etc. that will cater to all play styles. In addition to major game improvements / additions, the game will hopefully have better Steam integration - meaning trading cards, achievements, etc.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Wall is basically being re-release with this free-to-play update. Content has shifted a bit from the 2018 release - co-op is no longer in the game, and there is only one game mode with three maps. However, the game is built on a rock-solid foundation that will enable future game modes and maps to be created efficiently.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will remain free to play after Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We actively seek community feedback. We will spend much time looking through reviews, comments, etc. to ensure the community will be satisfied with the final product and interact with the community directly through Steam and third-party platforms (such as Reddit, Instagram, etc.).”

About This Game

**Join the Official Discord !**

The Wall is a never-before seen mix of genres, where dynamic maps, slick combat, base building, and economy management all come together.

One of the main elements of this game is the enormous wall itself, in the center of each map, dividing teams until it is manually or automatically opened. The Wall, combined with the other features of the game, allow matches to progress in different ways, be it fast/aggression-based gameplay, slow/economy-based gameplay, or anything between.

With the slick combat of E-Sports FPS games, the long-term, economy-based strategy of RTS games, and the world-manipulation aspects of survival games, The Wall is a satisfying change from the mass of fast-paced, yet dull, online FPS games.

Every single battle in The Wall will be a new experience for the player. The economy of each team, the items of individual players, and other conditions dictate how matches unfold. Outside of matches is a player's persistent inventory, including skills and weapon customizations.

The Wall's economy is based on three currencies, energy, wood, and minerals. Each one allows players to build, buy, and upgrade in matches.

One of the main features of The Wall is the player's ability to manipulate the terrain and place down structures. Placing down fortifications, generators, and other structures help players gain an advantage. The unparalleled mechanic of digging introduces countless numbers of strategies that can be utilized to make each game exciting.
