29 Beta Demo Access

Hello everyone!

It’s been a little quiet on our end. Here’s a little update on what we’ve been up to lately.

Last week we showed a brand new demo of 29 at Feral Vector, an event held in Hebden Bridge, UK. Packed with unique interesting workshops, LARPs, talks and adventures in local woods. Feral Vector is a video games event like no other, where people who aren’t familiar with video games are not only welcome but highly encouraged to join in. It’s a space that has always encouraged us and the development of 29 and that we’ve come to see as home.

We set up a space somewhat resembling the studio we used to work in; laid out a few of our sketchbooks consisting of a concepts and ideas we’ve had/have for 29, which we haven’t been seen before. In previous years we’ve had the game set up in the main area. This time we decided on at quieter corner, which provided a much more intimate experience with the game.

This years and last year’s vignettes shown at Feral Vector, other exclusive updates and behind-the-scenes development logs for 29 are available on Patreon for people who have pledged more than $1. (It’s worth bearing in mind that you’ll receive any claimed rewards after your first billing.)

If you don't want to miss any updates we recommend signing up to our mailing list.

We also have some exciting news coming up very soon, keep your eyes peeled!

Reviews

“29 is a reflection on those precarious few months surrounding the end of university, channeled through a point and click aesthetic in the vein of Kentucky Route Zero.”
Waypoint

“Like memory, everything has a sheen of fiction to it. - 29 showcases the magical in the everyday domestic drudgery.”
The Guardian

“There is something, not an unease but an otherworldliness, that perpetuates the piece-a finely illustrated work that unfolds like a diorama.”

About This Game

29 acts as the first chapter in a series titled No Longer Home: a magical realist point and click game that follows the personal experiences of Bo and Ao: two graduates preparing to move out of their flat.
Wander through an intimate flat, examining the everyday belongings of the Bo and Ao; delve into their thoughts and insights, and mould your interpretation of the characters through branching, multiple-choice dialogue. Have BBQs, play video games and stay up late, just talking in bed.
