Why Early Access?

“While we develop the next entry in the Stronghold series, a few folk at Firefly Studios have been taking a peek underground at a different kind of dungeon crawler! MetaMorph: Dungeon Creatures retains some of our strategy DNA, in its fast-paced hero switching and tactical combat, however the action genre is still new to us. Our aim is to make a fun, challenging dungeon crawler with the help of the community who have been playing our games for over 20 years!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“While we have an update plan for MetaMorph, this is subject to change based on community feedback and the development of each update. We will leave Early Access once we're happy with the variety of characters, levels and enemies in the game.

Please Note: Development of MetaMorph: Dungeon Creatures is currently on hold while we work on the next mainline entry in the Stronghold series.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The latest version of MetaMorph features an expanded roster of heroes to choose from, levels to liberate and hideous creatures to slay! As the number of playable characters has grown, new levels were added offering additional layers of challenge, with new enemy types and traps pushing your hero switching, cooldown management and combat skills to the limit.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is largely stable with some minor bugs. There are four heroes to select, upgrade and morph between across more than 80 levels. The Rabbit (Normal Type), Ogre (Ice), Nymph (Fire) and Rat Man (Poison) give players different elements to experiment with and crush their enemies, along with a host of powers to acquire and level up.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Pricing for the final version of MetaMorph may be higher than the game’s pricing during Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We pay close attention to feedback from players, using this to inform combat and level design. Updates on the current state of development and new features are available via the official Firefly Studios YouTube Channel.
