You are Kazu, a young technophile trying to prove he belongs as a cybernetics designer. All he wanted was an entertainment system that would finally open doors. What he creates instead is the Virtual Machine: a breakthrough that was never supposed to exist… and that the wrong people will kill to control.

Hunted by criminals and corrupt officials alike, Kazu is pulled into virtual worlds designed to weed out the weak — from a mythological age that never was, to a future where humanity is only a memory. His own life is on the line. So is the life of the only person he truly cares about.
