What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We had a great experience running the original Train Valley in Early Access. It helped us to improve the game, tune the balancing and add new features. As a result, we're looking forward to working with the community again to make Train Valley 2 the best it can be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Currently, we plan to be in Early Access for one year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Train Valley 2 will contain:
- 50 levels;
- 6 generations of locomotives;
- A fully-functional Level Editor with Steam Workshop integration;
- Modding support.
And of course, we will pay a great deal of attention to balancing the existing core mechanics.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is playable now, and contains the following features:
- 20 levels.
- 4 generations of locomotives.
- Level Editor (will be available for players during Early Access).”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game's price will increase after Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We'll engage with the community primarily on Steam forums. We are eagerly waiting your feedback on both new features and the balancing of core gameplay. We'll also need help with testing the Level Editor, and the modding tools when they're ready.”

Update #7

Hello guys! Here is our new "lucky" update. This time the list of bugs and features is not that big because most part of the time was invested in features that would be available only after full release (like electricity). But we have still fixed a couple of bugs and added some features you were asking. Here you go:

Bugs fixed:
- Sand and coal quarries models updated. Now they looks good without extra pits in the landscape.
- Menu music doesn't play when starting a workshop level.
- Bug with publishing of renamed levels fixed.

Features added:
- "Start level paused" option in settings.
- Map size tags assigning automatically.
- New "featured" levels tab in workshop browser inside the game.

Now it is only one week left till the end of our Levels Contest. Right now we have 90(!) levels available in workshop! Most of them are really beautiful and surprising in terms of gameplay! You haven't tried to create your own level yet? What are you waiting for? Maybe you will be the winner!

Stay tuned! :tv2conductor:
