What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“PixARK isn’t your average sandbox / survival game - we’re going to be introducing a lot of experimental technology and features that will require extensive testing and iterating before we’re ready to ship them in a final product. We saw fantastic results with ARK’s time in Early Access, and we’re ready to once again work with the community to help make PixARK the best game it can be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan on launching the full version of PixARK later this year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“PixARK’s full release will have a great deal more content compared to when it first launches in Early Access. We have a clear roadmap for what we plan on achieving - we’ll be sharing more info on that roadmap as we progress through Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“PixARK’s core systems are all fully functional; our current build supports local single-player and online multiplayer on both official and private servers.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“PixARK will be sold at a discounted price during the Early Access period (subject to change, dependent on your Steam region).”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Acting on community feedback is a major part of our development process - we’ll be constantly scouring Steam Discussions, as well as other forums, subreddits, Twitter mentions, smoke signals, and more to make sure we have a clear idea of how the community wants to see PixARK develop.”

PixARK Update 11/7 - Patch Notes

11/7/18 - 1 AM Pacific

PixARK 1.29

Greetings Explorers!

New creatures:

Doedicurus (Mountain Forest subspecies)

Found only in the Mountain Forest biome, Doedicurus subspecies can easily be recognized the distinctive color and shape its tail has. The mountain forest subspecies has adapted their destructive slow rolling skill into one that is quicker and more maneuverable, better suited for the complicated terrain this biome presents.

Argentavis (Desert subspecies)

Argentavis found its own way to get acclimated to the hostile Desert biome. The lack of food has forced Argentavis to change its hunting patterns; the desert subspecies will grab onto prey with either its claws or its more powerful beak. The color and crest are also visually distinguished from its non-subspecies counterpart.

  • Fixed an issue where weapon durability is invalid.
  • Fixed an issue where some Ruin dinos are not being spawned.
  • Fixed an issue where Spring Steel Shoes is still available after it is broken.

New subspecies and more !

Attention Explorers!

Two more subspecies are coming to the PixARK world!

Doedicurus - MountainForest subspecies

This subspecies of Doedicurus could only be found in the MountainForest. They can be easily recognized by the specific color and shape of the tail.
In order to adapt to the complex terrain, they changed their slow and destructive rolling into a more controlled and faster version.

Argentavis - Desert subspecies

Argentavis also find their own way to survive the harsh environment of the desert. Because of the lack of food, the desert subspecies of Argentavis can carry their prey with both their claws and the more powerful beak.
They also have a different appearance with ordinary ones with special color and crests.

And here is a picture of some other upcoming subspecies. Can you recognize them? What amazing evolution will finally happen to them? Keep track of our updates and you will find it out soon!

Wait a minute, there is a more exciting news!

As so many players are plagued by the abandoned structures in their server which they can do nothing about, we will take care of it next week. There will be a dynamic list recording all the active players. When someone becomes "Inactive" which means he or his tribe haven't logged in the server for 15 days, all his structures could be demolished by anyone. And there will be a buffering time before the system starts working for you to login to become active.

Also, we will open new servers later to give you a fresh start as the resources and terrain re-generate solution is undergoing.

Please keep attention with our updates and thanks again for all your time and love for our game!
