Why Early Access?

“As we continue to develop and iterate, the presentation and implementation of our development techniques are constantly evolving. Therefore in order to reach the best possible product, we feel that Early Access is necessary so that we can receive user feedback while improving the experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Most of the core linear experience is developed, now it requires polish and optimization therefore we expect 6 months - 1 year until completion.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“At release, we would like to add a few features beyond the linear game through the garden of time. Free riding the guardian Aldor and having him interact more with the player in between the dojos would be on the list as well as a more robust NPC interaction system. A rendering overhaul with a more recent engine version would also fit into this category.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current build demonstrates two major scenes with 4 sub-scenes. Each sub scene is considered an individual trial that can be completed using tools provided by the dojos.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Upon release of the game, we plan to have a 3 - 4 hour experience for 10 dollars.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We strongly encourage users to post their findings/opinions on our discussion boards, which help us find bugs, improve mechanics, and hear what players have to say. Furthermore, we have been releasing consistent updates for over a year now.”

Legacy Update - Project Fork

After pivoting the game in an entirely new direction, we found that it deserved a separate project entirely. Therefore we are now rolling back to the most stable linear build from the end of 2017 using the old rendering engine.

This change will allow us to finally wrap up what makes up the Garden of Time in the Sky Climbers universe.

At the same time, we will be working on our next project: Praetor which encompasses many of the concepts we were leaning towards in recent iterations.

On our new website, you will find each of the projects we are working on along with a little more information about the current team.

Parkour Cave: Patch 1.0.2

Today we released a patch adding some new content and a new area. This cave is located outside of the main village on your way down to Aruns Hut. Make sure to turn right and you should see the entrance:

Once inside you will be greeted with a series of parkour challenges before reaching the exit.

Future content for this cave and other caves like it include:

- collectibles
- mobs
- puzzle elements
- sound design

Lithan: A pine forest along a canyon river which will lead you into a lost ruin. A mix of parkour and linear story telling as you enter the abandoned cave.

The Garden of Time: This is the hub location where you will end up spending most of your down time in the game. You can meet Blashm in his tree house to ask for help, or head right to the dojos via one of the four portal entrances facing each region of Tarouke.

The Dojos: Each dojo represents a skill that must be mastered in order to complete the trial and retrieve the reward at the end. These abilities stack and you will need to use them together in order to beat all the trials.
