About This Game

Two men enter. One man leaves — usually.

Blood and Sandals is a brutal gladiator autobattler. You don't control the fighters — you back them.

Every bout is simulated from the ground up. Gladiators are built on a real human musculoskeletal model: real joint limits, real muscles that flex as they swing, real bones under the skin. Cuts are delivered the way historical fighters delivered them — weapons loaded over the shoulder, the hips driving, the wrists snapping through. A blade that lands bites into flesh, armour turns blows, and a lucky axe can take an arm off at the elbow.

Watch

Every fight is unscripted. Gladiators read reach, dodge, block, flank around shields, wrestle for weapons and choke each other out. Wounds bleed, the exhausted stagger, and the victor may die of his wounds after the crowd has cheered him.

Bet

Ten seconds before each bout, put your gold on red or blue. The pot is shared by everyone who backs the winner, so an upset pays out big.
