About This Game

The storm is coming. Keep walking.

The Blot is a black tide of living ink, and it is swallowing the land. Every day it creeps a little closer. You can't stop it. Not yet.

All you have is a little house on giant mechanical legs, a handful of people, and the light of your lamps. So you pick up and walk.

Live off the land

Set your walker down wherever you like. Send your crew out to chop trees, pick fruit, fish in ponds and mine stone and crystal. Ring the bell and they all come home, climb aboard, and off you go.

Grow your home as you go

Start with one small cottage on four legs. Build gardens, workshops and new houses on the deck while you walk. Upgrade at towns, and watch your walker grow into a whole little village with six, eight, even more legs.

A long road through a wide world

Walk through green valleys, misty moors, snowy mountains, deserts, crystal coasts and stranger places. Trade in towns, take on jobs, send your flying skiff out for supplies, and explore caves and ruins full of treasure.

The weather fights back

Blizzards bury you in deep snow and ice up your deck. Storms flood the rivers. Heat dries up the water. Read the sky, plan ahead, and keep your crew safe and fed.

When night falls, the ink rises

After dark the ink seeps up out of the ground, and the creatures in it come for you. Your lamps hold them back. Light your walker, send out your defence towers, arm your crew, and protect your legs, because if they break, she falls.

Get strong enough to turn around

Every day you walk, you get stronger: more crew, better tools, a bigger walker, brighter lamps. Somewhere deep inside the storm is the thing that made it. One day, you will be ready to walk in and face it.
