Every battle is yours to win or lose!

Choose where to stand, when to strike and when to commit. Hold the hill, spring a trap, or throw everything at their line and pray it breaks first. Hills, woods, rivers and weather all change the fight, and every move has a counter waiting on the other side of the field. Read the enemy army make him fight the battle you plan. The field goes to the general with the better plan.

Lead the shield walls of the Anglo Saxons, the raiders of the north, the horse archers of the Mongol steppe, the endless spears of the Song, the samurai of Kamakura, the crusader knights of Jerusalem and many more. Every people brings its own roster, generals and gear, with over 2,000 regiments between them, from peasant levies to the guards of kings.

Each one fights in its own way, each one has its own strengths, and none of them is built to beat the rest. Specialise one faction, or master them all.

Turn farmers into legends!

Start with men in wool caps and borrowed spears, and make them into something the enemy fears. Spend on their armoury and weaponry upgrades and see every piece of it on the men themselves when they march onto the field.

Specialise in one faction and you can raise a retinue of your own. Design your coat of arms and see it painted on every shield, choose the colours of their armour and cloth, pick their weapons, and send them into battle as the men who carry your reputation General.

Ladders up. Gates down!

Lead your army against a town's walls with ladders, battering rams and siege towers while arrows rain down from above. Or stand on the walls yourself and turn back wave after wave. Every siege is a race between the men climbing and the men holding, and only one side gets to tell the story.

Steel and salt water!

Put your regiments aboard and take the war to sea. Close in on the enemy fleet, throw the grapples and fight deck to deck, or ram them and send them to the bottom. On the water, there is nowhere to run.

Bring your friends. Or beat them!

Fight online in battles of up to four against four, team up with your friends against the computer, or climb the ranked ladder and prove you are the best general in Ordara. Bring your own retinue with you, your coat of arms on their shields and your name on the general they follow, and show the world the army youve mustered!
