What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Scrapmiles combines driving, cargo hauling and vehicle restoration. We want player feedback to help shape the balance of jobs, running costs and upgrades, as well as the handling of the pickup and the clarity of the game’s systems. Early Access gives us a way to develop these elements with the community while continuing work on the world and overall performance.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We have not set a release window yet. The remaining work includes broader playtesting of progression, performance testing across different hardware and further development of the world and vehicle systems. We need those results before we can give a useful estimate. We plan to update this section as the scope and schedule become clearer.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We aim to develop a more detailed countryside, refine vehicle damage and interactions with roadside scenery, and improve the driving, cargo and restoration systems. We also plan to refine job progression, running costs, interface clarity and performance using player feedback. These are development goals, and their scope may change during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current build includes single-player driving in an open autumn valley, 24 hauling jobs, scrap collection and sales, cargo securing, and truck repairs, restoration and upgrades. It also includes cockpit and exterior cameras, automatic and manual transmissions, changing weather, a day-and-night cycle, refuelling and a wash bay. Progress saves automatically, and the interface supports English and Polish. The game remains in development: bugs and occasional loading stutters may occur, and broader campaign, stability and hardware testing is still ongoing.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may increase during Early Access or at full release as the game develops and gains additional content. We have not decided on any increases yet. Any planned price increase will be announced in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to use Steam Discussions for feedback, suggestions and bug reports, and Steam announcements to share updates. We are especially interested in players’ experiences with truck handling, cargo, job progression, upgrade costs and performance. Feedback will help us prioritise development. When reporting a problem, please include your game version, hardware and the steps needed to reproduce it.”

About This Game

Scrapmiles is a driving and salvage game about an old pickup and the work it takes to bring it back to life. Explore an autumn valley, take hauling jobs and turn unwanted items into money for your next repair or upgrade.

Load it. Strap it down.

Take collection jobs and load discarded items into your pickup. Secure each item with cargo straps before you hit the road.

Turn scrap into your next upgrade

Bring your load to the scrap-yard scale. Check its weight and recovered materials, then sell it and collect your payment.

Make the pickup your own

Preview paint and body restoration in the workshop. Compare vehicle upgrades and choose which changes to buy.

Wash off the journey

Pull into the wash bay and let the water jets gradually clean away road dirt before your next trip.

Follow the roads of Rust Valley

Explore an autumn countryside connected by paved roads, forest tracks, bridges and a tunnel. Visit farms, quiet settlements and abandoned industrial sites as you collect loads and look for salvage.

Changing weather and a day-and-night cycle give familiar routes a different atmosphere. Rain wets the roads and your windows, while puddles gradually dry after the weather clears.

Keep your pickup moving

Running an old truck takes more than filling its bed. Watch your fuel, connect the hose at a pump and refuel gradually. Carry a tyre repair kit for roadside punctures, and use the windscreen wipers and washer to maintain visibility in rain and dirt.

Each trip earns money you can put towards keeping the pickup running and making it your own.

There is more work down the road

Work through 24 main collection jobs across the valley. Complete the main job list to unlock telephone calls offering additional, randomly generated collection jobs.

Drive your way

  • Switch between cockpit and exterior cameras.

  • Choose automatic or manual gear shifting.

  • Use metric or imperial units.

  • Continue your journey with automatic progress saving.

  • Play with an English or Polish interface.
