About This Game

One little sheep. A very big appetite.

That field looks enormous when all you've got is a mouthful of grass and four little legs. Good. You've got plans for it.

Only Sheep is a single-player incremental grazing adventure about turning one hungry sheep into a flourishing pasture business. Get close, pick your next bite and watch the grass disappear where you actually eat. Take your earnings home, make your next purchase and head out a little stronger. Soon, the tiny trail you started with becomes a field full of busy sheep and working mowers. The mountain of grass is still there. Now you've brought colleagues.

Happiness is a freshly eaten trail

There's something wonderfully simple about finding a good patch and getting stuck in. Lower your head, take a bite and leave a clear little gap behind. Walk through the meadow to choose your next spot; eating is a deliberate action, so the trail tells the story of the work you've done.

The grass isn't just scenery around a rising number. It's the thing you're working on, mouthful by mouthful. Follow a tempting stretch, tidy up an awkward corner or set your sights on the next untouched patch. Five grass types give your flock more to chew on, including special flowering plants that leave the mowers out of their depth. Some jobs still call for teeth.

Start with a nibble. Build an operation.

Your first few earnings make the next outing feel different. Improve your eating, widen your reach, pick up the pace and decide which purchase will help most. A better bite now, or another pair of jaws working alongside you? A stronger flock, or a mower taking care of ordinary grass?

Recruit more sheep and build towards a much bigger working herd. Watch your helpers get on with the pasture while you find your own next meal. Add mowers and the field becomes a shared project: woolly workers nibbling away, machines clearing their patches, and you choosing where to make the next dent. Growth becomes something you can see spread across the grass.

Every pasture starts a new little story

Expand across 36 properties in six districts, with new layouts to learn, corners to investigate and stretches of grass to conquer. Your first pasture is free. After that, use the money you've earned to open the next opportunity, or spend a little longer building up a place you already love.

Each pasture keeps its own herd, mowers and upgrades. Arriving somewhere new means beginning with a fresh local operation; returning means finding the purchases you made there. Sheep left on earlier pastures keep working on the grass that remains while you're elsewhere. Your money is shared across your growing collection of properties, giving each successful venture a chance to help fund the next.

Just one more bite. Then home. Definitely.

Head out for short outings of roughly 90–180 seconds. Find your rhythm, work towards your earnings goal and keep an eye on the trip home. There's a lovely patch just a little farther away. There usually is.

Warm daylight gives way to a more uneasy dusk, and the wolf gives that last mouthful a very different flavour. Make it home and secure your harvest money. Get caught and you lose the harvest money from that outing. Earlier savings, purchased sheep and equipment stay yours, and the grass you've already eaten stays eaten. You can take a chance without putting your whole business on the menu.

Prefer a gentler evening? A reduced-intensity option lets you soften the threat. Either way, choosing when to call it a day is part of the rhythm: graze, return, improve, and head back out with a new plan.

A nose for grass. An eye for treasure.

Take a look beyond the next profitable patch. Search for little discoveries, work through mastery challenges and give your favourite sheep a look of its own. A good day can end with a new purchase, a found collectible or an accessory you simply had to have. A respectable grazing business deserves a slightly ridiculous wardrobe.

Explore at your own pace between bursts of work, revisit familiar ground with a stronger flock and keep chasing the parts of your collection that catch your eye. There's a finale to work towards, followed by free play when you'd rather keep tending your pastures. It's an offline single-player game, ready for a quick outing or a longer string of “one more” trips.
