Give your squad a new mission

Enter the Green Sun exclusion zone. Take your existing squad through First Light, a 24-chapter rescue campaign, and return for Anomaly Expeditions: five assignments across three sectors with changing hazards, surveys, raids and extraction choices.

Expand your collection with 9 machine families, 9 pilot families and 18 gear families. Earn 24 core collectibles through campaign first clears; recruit the remaining 12 banner-only families through Green Sun: Anomaly Recruits. Items are earned through play or recruitment, rather than all granted on purchase.

Also unlock three harder ordinary Patrol routes at player level 10, with 8, 12 and 16 floors and Green Sun boss finales.

Requires Warmachine: Rogue-Scout.

About This Content

Enter the Green Sun exclusion zone

Green Sun is an optional expansion for Warmachine: Rogue-Scout. Bring your established hangar squad into a sealed research station where the collector array is still running and its workers are still waiting for rescue.

First Light: a 24-chapter rescue campaign

Join Dr. Vale, Surveyor Iona and the Green Sun Research Cooperative as they uncover the human cost of the station's experiment. Director Cael Orison commands the defence machines and refuses to abandon the signal inside the array. Salvage runner Rook Voss offers a way through, but his help comes with a price.

Fight dedicated hostile machines and three campaign bosses, meet the station crew through voiced dialogue, and find a quieter moment in the Shade Frog Crate interlude. The campaign follows its own progression alongside the base game's story.

Anomaly Expeditions

Deploy your own squad on five repeatable assignments with three combat difficulties. Read the changing weather and route forecasts, survey unstable signals, raid caches, repair damaged machines or extract with what you have recovered. Damage carries between fights, and restricted raids make you choose a smaller strike team.

Tune the receiver's frequency and phase to collect samples. Spend cargo on repairs, push deeper for another opportunity or return early with your squad intact. Optional raid intensity settings offer a harder challenge, while assignment records give you a reason to try a different route.

Expand your hangar

  • 6 new warmachines, 6 pilots and 12 equipment pieces earned as guaranteed first-clear rewards across the 24 campaign chapters.
  • 1 new recruitment banner: Green Sun: Anomaly Recruits. It features the Green Sun roster and 12 additional banner-only collectibles: 3 warmachines, 3 pilots and 6 equipment pieces, obtained through recruitment rather than granted on purchase.
  • 36 distinct collectibles in total: 9 warmachines, 9 pilots and 18 equipment pieces. Upgrade and evolution forms are not counted as additional collectibles.
  • 1 new game mode, Anomaly Expeditions: 5 repeatable assignments, 3 combat difficulties, changing weather, signal surveys and optional raid intensity settings.
  • 5 expedition equipment recovery choices drawn from the core gear roster; these are alternative recovery rewards, not 5 extra collectibles.
  • The Green Sun Research Cooperative lore collection and its earnable Dawnkeeper title.
The expansion unlocks access to its campaign, expedition mode and recruitment banner. Collectible items are earned by playing or recruiting; they are not all deposited into your hangar at purchase. Temporary guest characters encountered during the story are not collectible DLC rewards.

Mix research escorts and station specialists with your existing collection. Core collectibles work with the regular recovery, production and evolution systems. Expedition rewards add equipment sidegrades, including the Corona Lance's trade of attack for shields.

A different challenge for your existing squad

Green Sun adds new encounters, choices and build options without raising the base-game reward ceiling. The Green Sun Research Cooperative has its own lore and collection title, Dawnkeeper.

Three harder ordinary Patrols

With Green Sun active, player level 10 unlocks three additional routes on the ordinary Patrol board: Relay Lockdown (8 floors), Glassfall Offensive (12 floors), and Corona Siege (16 floors). Face Green Sun defenders and a dedicated boss finale on each route. Enemy rating scales above your current squad, offering progressively harder alternatives to regular Patrols. Their equipment recovery opportunities use existing core Rare iLvl-20 gear, rather than an extra collectible or equipment tier.

Requires the base game Warmachine: Rogue-Scout.
