Night shift at a car factory that officially closed in 1987. Clock in with up to 6 friends, hit the quota, obey the rules, and descend seven floors to face the machines that run them. Someone on your crew works a little too perfectly. Nobody clocks out.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“DEADFLOOR is a co-op game about crews, and crews play in ways we cannot predict. Early Access lets us tune quotas, boss difficulty and the mannequin copies with real groups of 2-6 players instead of guessing.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About 6-9 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“More night events and anomalies per floor, more trades and jobs, deeper copy behaviour, an ending that changes with how your crew played, more cosmetics, and balance from community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The full campaign is playable: 7 floors, 49 night shifts, 7 boss machines, the police roll call, the inspector and the mannequin copies, with 1-6 player online co-op and proximity voice.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may rise slightly at full release. Early Access buyers keep everything.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through the Steam discussions and a Discord server: bug reports, balance votes and playtest weekends with the developer.”

About This Game

The factory closed in 1987. The night shift never stopped.

You and your crew are contract night workers at an unbranded car plant that is closed on paper. Every night you clock in, take work orders and keep the line moving: paint bodies, run the press, bolt wheels, weld seams, drive finished cars onto the transporter. Hit the quota and you live to see the morning.

Follow the rules.

Safety records everything. Running, removing your mask, entering a closed area or missing the quota is an incident. At 19:30 the police arrive for roll call: stand on your mark and do not move. Three incidents and your contract is torn up.

Seven floors down, one way back.

Finish a week of shifts and the freight lift opens one floor lower: maintenance tunnels, a power plant that should not be running, a crash-test lab, an abandoned line. Each week ends with an audit by the floor's foreman machine, a giant robot built for the job it oversees.

Trust the work, not the face.

From the fourth week, mannequin copies start wearing your crewmates' overalls. They look the same and talk the same. They just never make a mistake.

Features

  • 1-6 player online co-op with proximity voice and walkie-talkies
  • Real factory jobs with hands-on minigames, 49 night shifts across 7 floors
  • Physics comedy: carry engine blocks together, get flattened by the press, run each other over
  • 7 boss machines with their own attacks, grabs and weak points
  • Night events, anomalies to spot and report, and a police roll call you must not fail
  • A crew of six trades: welder, painter, forklift driver, electrician, inspector, assembler

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Some 3D character and prop models were generated with AI 3D tools from our own concept images, then cleaned up, rigged and edited by the developer. Sound effects, voice lines and music were generated with an AI audio tool and edited. Some concept images and marketing art, including the store capsules, were made with AI image tools. The game does not generate any content with AI while it is running.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

DEADFLOOR is a cartoon-styled co-op horror game. Workers can die in slapstick ways: crushed by factory machines, hit by cars, thrown by robots, grabbed by giant boss robots, and shot by police guards for moving during roll call. Mannequin copies attack crew members with knives. There is no blood or gore. The game has jump scares and a dark, tense atmosphere, and players can smoke cigarettes during breaks. Online voice chat between players is not moderated.
